Chris Coleman's wales

Wed Mar 05, 2014 9:42 pm

I'm no fan of Coleman never have been , but he actually seems to have turned the corner with this team and has got us playing some good football . Maybe a little bit to dependant on bale at times but that is just playing to our strengths .

Add Ramsey and Ledley back into that team and we actually do have a chance in the group we got for the euros :ayatollah:

Two wins against Andorra and Cyprus in the first two games and we will have a great chance :ayatollah:

Still looked a miserable fucker all game though

Just need the crowds to turn up now. We're starting to play some good football now so there's no reason not to get 30,000 for the Bosnia game

I'm sure when the campaign starts we will have big crowds, especially if we start winning, you know how fickle welsh fans are if we are doing well the millenium will be packed out

Apparently in 2003 we had 70,000 for Azerbaijan  We'd be lucky to get 6000 now

I'll back Coleman as long as he's our manager. And I'll never forget the time he backed us on live TV over palace in the league cup lol he has the tools to make a fist of it though. We have some really good welsh players in our setup, and one superstar player, so Im expecting big things from our next qualifying group, or I'm gonna be pissed lol

Do my eyes deceive me or is there some positivity on here regarding Wales? :thumbright:

Bale has to be in the top 5 players in the world right now. He's stepped up a notch going to Madrid and the players he plays against/faces will only make him even better, he's not near his peak yet which is frightening.

Tidy midfield coming along with Bale, Rambo and Allen who are all playing at massive clubs now. Just needs a quality striker to compliment it. What Wales could do with a Rush or Hughes with Bale.

Impressed with the young lad Emyr Huws, looks very comfortable and how we let him go is a mystery.

We didnt let him go.

Man City poached him, we took them to court over it if I remember rightly. Dubbed at the time "the next ryan giggs".

I've criticised Coleman in the past but I have to say he did well yesterday. Team was set up well and tactics were good. We pushed up a lot and and put pressure on Iceland when they had the ball. There was a bit of hoofball at the beginning but once the game settled down we passed it around and kept possession well.

Hopefully this is the sign of great things, Coleman has gained experience from the last campaign and has hopefully learnt a lot. To early to say but let's hope he can do us proud in this campaign.

Dont like Coleman, not cos if his Jack connections, I just cant stand the way he talks he irritates me.

I dont necessarily think Coleman has done anything to turn it around, the team picks itself when all fit, and with a superstar like Bale this is the best squad of players any Welsh manager has had since the late 80's / early 90's.

However, the FA has decided to go with him for this campaign so weve all got to get behind him and the lads. Moaning about Williams being captain is pointless also. Hes choosen to play for Wales, gives his all, has been given the capataincy so we should get behind him, and the other Jacks, when they are turninhg out for Wales, its childish not to.

If we can get a good start, which on paper is possible, and momentum builds then who knows.

There is optimisim in the air thats for sure.

Most welsh fans should be on a high at the moment. The best draw we've had for as long as i can remember. A squad with a lot of premiership players, the best squad for a while. one of the best players in the world. If injuries are kept to a minimum and the star players play the whole campaign we have to be aiming for at least a play off spot. Anything other than that will be a failure in my eyes

We only beat Iceland mun, wait till we play Farm Foods, can`t see us winning that one!

before we start getting excited, lets wait a little bit, iceland arent the greatest team, they're a decent side, and we fielded a strong starting 11, in a friendly, we've seen this all before, just wait till the tournaments start then judge him

We always have a generation with a superstar. Giggs, Rush, Hughes, Charles etc etc

Surely you cant suggest we could be managerless and still get results? What about clubs like Barca? Why appoint a manager?

If we win the credit must go to the manager because the criticism certainly comes his way when we lose.

Seen him being interviewed on i.T.v. tonight he has passion for the job was a great player for Wales, lots of enthusiasm we could have a lot worse. We have no money so could not get a lot better either
