' CARDIFF CITY '

Good news

Jordon Mutch is raring to go and Ole says " Mutch will have a big impact on the Fulham game."

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has a full fit squad to pick from and will have to decide to either keep to the formation he started with at Spurs or will he decide once again to change it?

Mark Hudson is out for the rest of the season.

Cardiff have conceded more headed goals than any other team in the top flight (10).

The Welsh side have scored 74 per cent of their goals in the second half of games; the highest percentage in the top tier.

Cardiff are the only team in the Premier League that are yet to give away or win a penalty kick this season.

Cardiff have the best disciplinary record in the top-flight picking up just 34 yellow cards and no reds.

Four of the last five matches between Cardiff and Fulham have ended with a 2-1 scoreline.

Cardiff have failed to score in four of their last six Premier League home games.

Cardiff City will be waiting on 11 players to return hopefully all injury free

Eleven of City’s players involved in international duty for their respective nations.

Midfielder Aron Gunnarsson will take a rare venture into the away dressing room at Cardiff City Stadium on Wednesday evening as he prepares to Captain Iceland against Wales at Cardiff City Stadium.

On standby for that game for Wales is City full-back Declan John, who if not called upon by Chris Coleman should feature for Geraint Williams’ Under-21s against England at Derby County’s iPro Stadium, with Cardiff City Development player Tommy O’Sullivan also named in Williams’ squad. They could both face Wilfried Zaha who will look to add to his 13 caps for England’s Under-21s in Derby.

A part of the senior England set-up, City defender Steven Caulker will look to pick up his second international cap at Wembley Stadium as Roy Hodgson continues his preparations for the World Cup in Brazil this summer, with an international friendly with Denmark.

Elsewhere City goalkeeper David Marshall will look to celebrate his 29th birthday with an eleventh international cap for Scotland as they take on Poland in Warsaw. The friendly serves as an opportunity for Gordon Strachan to put his side to the test once more as the Scots prepare for the upcoming EURO 2016 qualifying campaign.

In Scotland’s qualification group, Germany take on Gary Medel’s Chile in Stuttgart while Mats Møller Dæhli and Magnus Wolff Eikrem are in the Norway squad for their friendly with the Czech Republic at the Sparta Stadium in Prague. Fellow Norwegian Jo Inge Berget is involved in the Norway Under-23 squad also facing a Czech side at the adjacent FK Viktoria Zizkov Stadium in Prague.

Midfielder Kim Bo Kyung, fresh from a 50th Cardiff City appearance against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, is also set to be involved for South Korea on Wednesday. It will however be a shorter trip to represent his country this time around, as Korea Republic prepare to face Greece in Athens.

' FULHAM '

Fulham winger Damien Duff has been ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury.

The winger, who is out of contract this summer, may, therefore, have played his last game for the Whites.

Manager Felix Magath said: “We have to expect that he will not play this season any more.”

Midfielder Scott Parker is out of the Cardiff match with a knee injury.

“It’s not so bad, but for Saturday he can’t play,” Magath added.

Defender Fernando Amorebieta is still sidelined, while William Kvist is likely to miss out with hamstring problems, despite playing 90 minutes for Denmark at Wembley on Wednesday night.

Only Fulham (181) have allowed their opponents more shots on target against them than Cardiff City this season (165) in the Premier League.

Fulham have conceded 68 per cent of their goals in the second half of this season; the highest proportion in the Premier League.

Fulham have gone 13 Premier League away matches without a clean sheet.

Fulham have won one and lost seven of their last 10 Premier League away games (D2).

Cardiff City v Fulham

Image

Possible City side:-
Image
Noone is still recovering from a knock so I think we will go with this team. Possibly Daehli instead of Wilf, or Noone (if fit).

Possible Fulham side:-
Image
Dempsey has gone back to Seattle Sounders after his loan spell.

Last 5 meetings:-
09 Nov 1996----Cardiff City 1-2 Fulham----League Division 3
31 Jan 1997----Fulham 1-4 Cardiff City----League Division 3
11 Aug 1998----Fulham 2-1 Cardiff City----Worthington Cup
18 Aug 1998----Cardiff City 1-2 Fulham----Worthington Cup
28 Sep 2013----Fulham 1-2 Cardiff City----Premier League

Fact:-
The biggest win in this fixture was Fulham 1-5 Cardiff, in December, 1968. :ayatollah:

Prediction:-
Cardiff City 2-0 Fulham

I feel much more confident now I've seen we can play well with a 5-3-2/3-5-2 formation.

too close to call..both clubs need this & don't rule out Felix Magath getting his lads riled for this one. Lets hope our will is greater than theirs.

Will it be entertaining? Both concede goals galore..I really don't know what to expect from this. For that reason its a very interesting encounter :ayatollah:

Although they haven't had Holtby for long, that's a strong midfield.

Occupying the bottom two places in the Premier division, neither Cardiff or Fulham dare lose this crunch clash. Opta reveals which team will hold their nerve.

Fulham have gone 13 Barclays Premier League away matches without a clean sheet. Over 2.5 goals is 2.02.

Four of the last five matches between Cardiff and Fulham have ended with a 2-1 scoreline. A 2-1 win for Cardiff is 10.5.

Fulham have won one and lost seven of their last 10 Barclays Premier League away games (D2). Cardiff are 2.38 to win.

Cardiff have failed to score in four of their last six Premier League home games. Fulham are 4.1 to keep a clean sheet.

Only Fulham (181) have allowed their opponents more shots on target against them than Cardiff City this season (165) in the Premier League. Both teams to score is 1.76.

Cardiff have conceded more headed goals than any other team in the top flight (10). Fulham's giant defender Brede Hangeland should be available at around 15.0 to score.

The Welsh side have scored 74% of their goals in the second half of games; the highest percentage in the top tier. You can find odds of 2.0 that the second-half will contain more goals than the first.

Fulham have conceded 68% of their goals in the second half of this season; the highest proportion in the Premier League. The draw half-time/Cardiff full-time is 6.0.

Cardiff are the only team in the Premier League that are yet to give away or win a penalty kick this season. Under 2.5 goals is 1.93.

We actually agree on something Thomas! Magath is drilling fulham on counter attack, so lets hope we score first for once!

If City play the likes of Fabio, Kim, Taylor, Cowie, Whittingham & Gunnarrsson then they'll be playing into Fulham's hands.

Got to go for broke here - play the match winners.

Marshall
John, Caulker, Turner, Cala or McNaughton
Zaha, Mutch, Medel, Noone
Bellamy
Jones

I doubt he'll play that team, he'll probably stick in one of his Norwegians, and the usual suspects.

Agree! :ayatollah:

Watch this to see Berget´s skills and coolness in front the goal. These day´s he´s scoring so bring him on.

Daehli the right man from start.

Another option could be playing Bellamy as winger, instead of Zaha. I reckon he could, at least give a good effort to halftime, and then we could see?

But I think OGS maybe will be "afraid" to start them, rather picking "safe" and go with Bellamy and Campbell. Otherwise he would be ranked as sausage after eventually a loss playing the norwegian, at least Berget.

I believe in starting Berget upfront, just not in a 4-5-1. Even if he doesn't score, he seems to make partnership with a second striker with ease. Good architect upfront.

Dæhli would be a force multiplier in this match. IMO drop Jones 2nd half today, he's not looking too sharp, drop Dæhli in behind Campbell in second half.

Though I understand why he's not starting, he did just have 72 mins against Czech Republic for Norway this week.

Been a while since there have been three Norwegians on the pitch at once in EPL :)
