Some idiotic Sky Sports journalist has put together the 'top flops' of the Premier League. They seem to justify these with their player ratings, however do they not realise John is just a youngster in his first year playing in the first team, in the Premier League. Shouldn't they be encouraging and supporting British youngsters to do well and not brandish them 'flops'? Atrocious journalism.

In my view the lad is superb with a hell of a future considering his age.

I think John has done OK, nothing special but certainly wouldn't say he has flopped.
Kim is a fair example of flopping but don't really agree with what they wrote on him.
Bit of a chap article really.

A very poor left back in my opinion but thats because it really is not his true position A flop is unfair if thats what was said as I was not expecting much from him playing at left back I have watched him for many years and a defender he is not He is a very talent youngster as a winger who may help his left back

Huge potential each game he plays.
Needs confidence but for his age it's a huge step in with no experience of playing in lower divisions so I think the way he has handled it and performed is remarkable.

Considering he marked Walcott out of the game, I wouldn't say he's a very poor left back. He's stepped in as an 18 year old with either Whittingham or Zaha in front of him offering very little protection. The fact he has done enough to keep his place in the team ahead of an established Andrew Taylor, speaks volumes about how well he has done and how good he will become.

The reporter states at the start of the article that the list is based on stats from WhoScored.com which is basically declaring that it is a non story
Anyone who knows anything about football will know that to label an 18 year old, home grown player who has come through the academy and thrown into the premier league in his first season as a 'Flop' is utter bollocks

i can see him being a left winger in the near future (his natural position). You'll see a totally different player then. And that can only be good for us.
