f**k MODERN FOOTBALL

Tans "bonus" offer at Spurs got me thinking.

With season ticket prices at a record high, and another increase of 16% this season (on top of 16% last season), the club will be set to earn 1.4m extra with this years season ticket increase yet Tan goes and offers 2.5 times that amount as an "extra" bonus to players already earning obsecene amounts in wages, and a bonus scheme already in place.

If the club have got an extra 3.7m to chuck about how about giving some of that back to the fans, and REDUCING season ticekts not increasing them. Give a little back to the fans instead of these overpaid, overated primadonnas.

This is not exclusive to City by the way, its the way most clubs operate, I am just finding it hard to accept that with all this TV Money they still try and rape every single penny from the fans, when in reality what they gain in season ticket money is coppers compared to the TV and Sponsorship they get.

I am not renewing, I have already been dialogue with the club and that idiot Tom Gorringe about the way the fans are being treated, but whilst the prize freeze is still on they wont see the real damage they have caused by being so dismissive of the fans.

Next year will be interesting when the prize freeze is over.

Tom Gorringe is a puppet. I've spoken with him about standing at games, he's totally pointless.

Totally agree on your points too, a reduction in ST prices might have helped Tan gain a little kudos amongst the fan base, hiking it up for what's likely to be a poorer level of football, gains him little respect.

Eats into you in the end.

With the arrogant attitude of Tan with his rebrand and the fact he has said if we want better football we now have to pay for it, even if we go down, well if he is trying to get rid of the loyal supporter he is doing a damn good job.

come on, its not just a tan thing. Prices have been on the up for years, everywhere. It would be nice for clubs to give something back, but they rarely do :(

Is Tan going to produce the same standard of football if we go down?

Think about it Craig are we going to keep the likes of Caulker and Medal if we go down?

Yet a new £3.7m signing would have been met with rejoicing fans - go figure.

If Tan tells them they have to honour their contracts and Ole wants to keep them, they dont really have a choice.

I was at Spurs on Sunday and just booked Everton. What galls me is there has been zero gesture to thank the fans for their continued support, especially considering the farcical and monumemtal off pitch wankism that has pretty much ruined this first PL season. I'll always love the Bluebirds but I'd like to have seen the club do something for its fans. VT just doesn't care.

He doesnt. Not one iota. Nor do the club. They spend more money and time on away fans and the Asian market than they do their own fans.

Stark comparison to Ellis Short, Sunderland owner, listening to him talk about Sunderland fans before the final on Sunday, shows there are some owners who appreciate the fans out there.

Sadly few and far between, and none as bad as Tan or that idiot at Hull.

The club don't give a f*ck about fans really, nor the footballing authorities, EPL, etc. Reiterated also by the change of KO time of the Sunderland game.

Only money that matters :old:

I renewed for another season.

However can't help but agree with Chuckles and Polo.

If I didn't have another year after this in College I wouldn't of renewed.

Re: f**k MODERN FOOTBALL

Many people will be paying more for an inferior product ie Championship football so it does seem ludicrous, especially in a bigger stadium.

Meanwhile, Sunderland have actually reduced their season ticket prices.

However, the price freeze was honoured and our prices are comparable to many other clubs of similarsize.

It's the British model of club ownership to blame and the fact the Premier League bosses have no balls.
