' IF VINCENT TAN IS SO CONFIDENT... '

Tue Mar 04, 2014 10:37 pm

...about being backed by 90% of fans perhaps he should arrange an independently verified vote of season ticket holders asking 2 questions:

1 Do you want Mr Tan to stay at Cardiff City FC?

2 Do you want to keep Cardiff City in red with the dragon badge?

It's very straightforward to organise a postal ballot of fans.

Completely agree it's all guess work without a proper ballot. Something tells me Tan wouldn't enjoy the results.

But the figures would never be right unless every single season ticket holder voted!

Thats not how democracy works.Tan would have to except a simple majority.

I think you maybe surprised about Tan to stay i believe the majority would vote yes for him to stay.
But change back to blue vote would get 90% or more i reckon

It's too late now, but they could've put the question at the bottom of the renewel forms.

It all depends on what voting blue meant. If it meant he took it that we were ungrateful and would sod off then I think it would be as split as it was originally.

Obviously if investment continued either way I would expect/hope blue would have nearly every vote.

if 90% of season ticket holders renew.........is that not to some extent rubber stamping his claim?

I think that's exactly what needs to be done as for people voting by buying season tickets that's utter bolloxs people buy because they love cardiff city and we city fans can't give that up I don't like VT and would never vote in his favour but won't give up on my club vote the man out and let's be cardiff city again :ayatollah:

They are voting with their wallets but not in the way you depict. Season ticket sales are down so far so you are right people are voting with their wallets to stay away.

What you consider backing Nd what tan considers backing are vastly different things.

If you renew your ST but say "i dont really like red" - then you have backed him in his eyes.

So a paper ballot asking how many like the red wont make a bit of difference as that isnt the criteria to back him.

He sees 27,000 tickets sold as all the backing he needs.

If he thinks it is only around 10% that hates him why doesn't he put a red and blue card on every seat in the ground.I know where most off the red cards would end up. Then he would see what the ground would be like.Blue :ayatollah: :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

They should have sent a very basic survey to every season ticket holder before the changes were made . Given the emotive topic I am sure the response rate would have been 80% plus for adults

Lets also add the question - "Do you want administration & non-league football"

Its become very clear that the Blue / Tan Out brigade want relegation just to be able to say "I told you the guy was no good"
They will put the club at high risk of extinction because of a shirt colour and a pathalogical hatred of the guy who put millions in. Pathetic and speaking as a supporter for 45 years...these are not true Cardiff fans, if you don't like whats happening stay away, you are an embrassment.

Lets not be silly shall we. Tan out does not mean extinction. What does mean sure extinction is letting Tan eradicate the last remnants of what we know as our beloved team. I would rather take our chances of getting rid of Tan and face the remote possibility of extinction opposed to facing certain extinction if we allow him to stay and change us into something we no longer recognise as our own. :ayatollah:

That would be up to them, but if 22,000 were sent out voting papers(should of been with the current season ticket renewals) then at least it would be fair. The question is does Tan know the meaning of fair?

Re: ' IF VINCENT TAN IS SO CONFIDENT... '

Tbh tan would never do it, as he knows vast majority will vote against his idears! Despite what he said other day on tv about 90% backing rebrand!. And annis his idea of fair certainly isnt our's tthats for sure.

Unbelievable, your questioning a man who has pledged to give half his wealth to charity(£500 million) the meaning of Fair?? Yet you were and still are happy to call a friend, a guy who was willing to move a football club from London to Dublin. A guy who led all the support up the garden path, who gambled other institutions money and gambled that his half baked plans would get rubber stamped by the council, providing their backing and the finance necessary. A guy really, who tried to hoodwink his own supporters, yet you would still be happy to share a drink with him  and you question Tans ability yo be fair?

Forgotten. He said he'd invest no more unless we accepted red. Offered to stay blue. Over 90 % wanted him to stay.Thats democracy .

That would be too telling. There is not a hope in hell of that happening. Of course he knows the truth already :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
A very simple chant of just BLUE BLUE BLUE BLUE would be a lot cheaper and just as effective . :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

In my opinion this is where the millions of petitions went wrong, those petitions were all about getting the most signatures. Fans of other clubs signing them who have no relevence, people boasting they had signed it 10 times, people saying they had taken it around work for everyone to sign even if they werent football fans. It all seemed a bit pointless, and they were.

A peitition at the start of the season for just season ticket holders and a place for those fans to put the Fan number I think would have had a much bigger effect and would maybe have made the club acknowledge it.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the Jack here, bums on seats is the only way to 'vote against' Tan or the Red shite.

Blue has become more and more prominant throughout the season, he don't give a shit, as his delusion is still leading him to state 90% are backing him.

Not renewing IMO is the only way to have your say effectively as I can't see thousands of new 'customers' stampeding to buy ST's for championship football.

Just my opinion...........

exactly my point.............if the ST sales are poor it undermines his 90% claim........but if ST sales show only a 10% or so drop it backs up what he says...........if i had a straait vote..no strings..red or blue..like about 99% id vote blue......do i feel strongly enough to not go.no i dont.........ive renewed and im not a hypocrite.......renewing doesnt mean you agree with everything tan does, but it indicates your overall you are still supportive . support means what it says
