Suits our squad and is attacking if played correctly!!!!!!

Attacking full backs, medal covering 3 centre backs. Mutch/Whitts pulling strings, noone or Matts free role behind bellamy Cambell.

I'd play Whitts because the wolf is not a lot better.Zaha and Jones miss out. I'd rather see Zaha play striker than winger.could play bellamy behind Cambell and Zaha and drop Noone!!!!!

Do you really have to play 3-5-2 at home vs Fullham? Doensn't help that Cardiff has at most 1 decent offensive back, making it pretty close to a 5-3-2. Given that Medel is quite defensive (and very good at it), it doesn't bode well for scoring goals.

There's nothing wrong with playing different formations/tactics at home vs. the worst PL team and away vs. one of the better PL teams.

When hull and Southampton put 3 past us yes.need to be solid but with cutting edge. 442 is to open!!!!?

Fabio good at going forward, Mutch more creative when he's got extra legs around him.

Yes why not? :? We can't play 4-4-2 because we are overrun, we can't play 4-5-1/4-3-3 because we can't cover the pitch well enough and support the lone striker and we can't play 4-2-3-1 because again we are overrun. 3-5-2 5-3-2 whatever you want to call it isn't just a defensive formation, it can be as offensive as the other 3. Plus John and Fabio are both adequate at going forward.

It worked well against Spurs so we can't change formation AGAIN because how are we going to get results if we are changing between formation every week? It's a perfect formation for us, we can utilise 3 CB's so we are more solid while still having 3 midfielders and two strikers (which everyone on this board is obsessed with) but sadly we can't use wingers.

But I fail to see why you think it is just a defensive formation.

Completely agree we need to stick to the same system, it worked and it can be effective. For large parts I think we won the midfield which is always a great platform, if we can get players like mutch, Daehli and Kim on the ball in attacking positions then I think we can cause problems in the last third.

I think some people automatically think 3-5-2/5-3-2 which ever way you look at it is a defensive system and should not be played at home, whilst 4-4-2 shows you're looking to attack. For me the system we played at Spurs worked well and we should be looking to build on it.
