Our Best Ever Season Turned Worse?

Tue Mar 04, 2014 1:10 pm

When we got promoted last year, there was this incredible hype around the club that after 51 years we'd finally made it to the "promised land". It was build up to be one of the greatest seasons the club will ever have. Trips to the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool etc, the first Premier League welsh derby, and much more. But has this season gone from being potentially one of the best, to one of the worst?

Lets think about it. What are the positives?
-Winning the first ever Premier League welsh derby :D
-Coming from behind to beat Man City 3-2 :)
-Kim's last minute equaliser vs Man Utd
-Mutch's last minute winner vs Fulham
-Watching Cardiff play the greatest teams in the country

Okay, there have been some good points, but lets look at the negative. Where do i start?

-Tan
-Wearing red in our first season back in the top division in 51 years
-The sacking of one of the greatest managers the club has ever had
-Continuous media coverage for the wrong reasons
-Tan
-3-0 loss to Swansea
-4-0 Loss to Hull
-Consistently bad atmosphere
-Fans torn apart by owner
-Tan
-Protests
-Sacking Iain Moody and hiring Alisher Apsalyamov

Lets be honest, we haven't exactly gave a good account of ourselves (mainly because of Tan), and if we do go down, if will top off, in my opinion, one of the worst seasons the club has ever had. And i am basing that off the fact that this has been one of the least enjoyable seasons i've ever had the displeasure of witnessing, on and off the field. It'll be interesting to hear your opinions. If we go down (or even if we stay up), how will you feel about our first season back in the Premier League for over half a century?

This season was unnecessarily turned into a shambles by melted tyre face Tan.

Compare us now to at the start of the season  We had genuine optimism going into each game, we were competing and were thought as around the country as no where near an 'easy' game. People were scared to come to the CCS after the Man City, United, Jack games.

Tans fucked this year up, no one else. Maybe some 1 transfer didn't work out, so what? Many transfer don't work out for many different teams. I've had enough of people blaming it on Mackay or Ole, the blame for circus lies at tans feet and no one elses.

The way he has turned the fans against each other has ruined this year.

The one year in the top flight we have and the 'brand' that is Cardiff City has been made into a worldwide laughing stock by VT. Crap year, can't wait till it is over so Tan can cry over the fact we are back in the lower leagues and he can't mince around on tv during the big games.

To think, at the start of the year people were saying a relegation scrap is all they expected. That lasted for all of 4 games and the club had given birth to a new level of plastic.

The fans have turned on each other. Yes Tan made the change but that doesnt mean that as fans we cant just accept we all think different and get behind the team.

away from the people on here its normal down the CCS, the way some of you go on you make it seem like bloody beirut

It may seem normal down the stadium, but when half the stadium is blue and half is red, it certainly doesn't make it feel like a home game and it doesn't exactly help the atmosphere does it.

A lot of the fans moaning about all this stuff dividing the fans, in the 70s 80s and some of the 90s the fans were always divided Cardiff lads v valleys lads v Barry lads and so on so nothing new

It feels exactly like a home game. Atmosphere has been dire for years and years, made worse by the fact we are losing.

Our fans always have something to fight each other about. We are the most self destructive fans in the country

Since Charlton the atmosphere has been going down hill.

Man City?
Man Utd?

Its because most our fans are used to winning most home matches as we were in Championship. Now we are losing most the fans are too impatient.
