Meeting with Football Association of Wales February 28th ,2014 3 pm
Iceland Home Game
7,000 plus tickets already sold for this game, everyone is hopeful of a good walk up crowd especially with the news that Gareth Bale is playing. Tickets prices are £10 adults and just £1 for children, so excellent value.
May Friendly
There will be one game in Amsterdam this May, there were hopes of a friendly in Uruguay but that failed to materialise. No ticket information yet but there is an healthy interest in this game from the Welsh fans, ticket prices and allocation will be known in the near future and posted on official FAW website.
Wear Red for Wales Campaign
This campaign is ongoing but we hope to increase awareness of it during the campaign, we are looking to produce badges, banners and other materials to promote the campaign, the idea being that fans wear National colours to games rather than club colours. FAW happy to assist with this.
Membership Scheme for 2014-16
The membership scheme topped 5,000 members last tournament and it is hoped that will be increased. Current members will be e mailed soon with information regarding online renewals. Forms will also be sent by post to all previous Gold and Junior members along with the next edition of The Voice in the next few weeks. New members are also most welcome. The good news is that the membership fee is unchanged at £10 for adults and £5 for concessions. Only members are permitted to purchase tickets for away fixtures but the membership stays open, so join up whenever you can, the sooner the better.
Allocation of tickets was brought up especially at the low capacity Andorra stadium, it was also discussed re the allocation of tickets for France should we qualify.
Lucy Mason informed us that the point’s scheme will be in place if there is over demand for tickets for any match. All members must be aware of this and the points system.
Club and Schools membership is also available again at a cost of £20…a cash back scheme of 25% of the tickets will then go back to those clubs and schools for every ticket they sell. More advertising and promotion will be put into this to inform every one of the financial benefits of this scheme.
Loyalty-based Points System
Points awarded to Gold and Junior members will be carried forward from the previous campaign only. Match points will only be valid if bought via the 1876 WSC members advanced sale and not via general public sale.
2016 Euro Gold, Junior members 3 points
2016 Euro campaign tournament ticket = 4points (season ticket to home games)
2014 World Cup Qualifying Campaign Tournament Ticket = 4 points (Season ticket for last tournament)
2014 World Cup Gold, junior member = 3 points
Every Home match ticket bought in advance of games = 1point
Away match = 2 points
Feedback on Euro Draw
FAW relatively happy with the draw and do not foresee any logistical problems at this stage. Contact has already been made with most of our opponents.
All Countries must tell UEFA of venues they intend using by March 25th, we expect Belgium, Andorra, Cyprus, Bosnia and Israel to just choose one venue, and Wales will just chose Cardiff. If there are alternative venues put forward by any of our opponents, they have to give the definite venue at least 120 days before the game. During this period UEFA have promised to inspect all proposed venues and only allow stadia to be used as venue that reaches at least a Category standard.
FSF Funding
We had a brief discussion about funding issues but it is hoped that the Home office will continue to support the fan embassies. Hopefully Adidas may provide some Jackets for the volunteers.
Increasing crowd base home and away
Always a difficult one and obviously much easier with good results. However proper promotion of upcoming games and competitive, tempting match ticket prices are practical ideas that can be implemented. The FSF Cymru will also set up a twitter account to increase communication outlets.
The FAW are also looking at getting the fans involved in a singing section to increase support but also for the fans to enjoy the match day experience.
Andorra
They are building a new stadium which will be ready by September and the capacity will be increased from the current figure of 1800. More information will come to light in the next few weeks on how much allocation we are likely to get, if it is not enough the points system will be used for those that apply for tickets, however indications are that we could get a good healthy allocation from initial talks.
Belguim
Nothing new about Belgium, we know quit a lot from our recent visit and it is almost certain we will play at the same stadium again.
Away Programmes
Many fans are asking about these and are often disappointed when there are none available. Mark Evans and Lucy will inquire with our opponents about this matter and see if programmes can be made available.
Fans maybe asked in advance if they would like to purchase a programme, if they are produced.
Match Programme and The Voice.
FSF Cymru and Gol are invited to put articles in either publication.
Fans player of the Year.
We want this to run until the whole 10 games are completed and base it on the merits of each game and how the players perform. We will work out a system to enable voting, this will be available to all fans who join the membership scheme.
Gol and Supporter Initiatives
Neil Dymock explained that Duncan Jardine has had to step down from the Gol committee, after many years of good work, leaving just Tim Hartley and him on the committee. People have been approached who have shown interest so that should be sorted soon. The Gol website also needs serious updating and that will also be done.
Hopefully Gol will be active throughout the next two years and onwards after that.
The fans’ football team will continue and games will be arranged with all teams in our group.
Meeting Close 4.10 pm

Just got that membership today and booked 2 Iceland tickets is it worth me booking flights to Andorra and Travel to Belguim as it's cheap at the moment?

You cant fly to Andorra but Barcelona is a good idea because we are arranging coaches from there...you can also fly to South France and get transport from there but not many are. Looks certain we will play in Brussels again but its not long , a few weeks before they have to name venues...if Belgium only name one then its no problem.

I was looking at Toulouse and travel down but if coaches are being ran from Barcelona it seems easier to do what would you suggest, about 30 euro each way for coach to Andorra from Toulouse Airport
