Corner kicks

Has anyone noticed that when we take a corner we never have a man on the near post.
The amount of times that our corner takers do not get the ball past the near post (Kimbo was the worst offender yesterday) and the defender just has an easy job of heading or kicking clear.
Surely if we put a man on the near post if the ball does not get beyond the post then at least he could get a flick on and create a chance rather than have nobody there.
Just a thought!

Not entirely sure what's up with our corners, they seem to be a hit and hope affair where whoever takes it miss-kicks it every time! I find it very hard to understand how a professional footballer can't kick a ball past the first man.

To be fair Marshall ran to the near post when he came up for the corner
