You foolish people

Sun Mar 02, 2014 11:27 pm

Many were pissed off when we were not playing the free flowing football you wanted under Malky. Yet he made us hard to beat. I remember the criticism for the goalless draw at Stoke which at the time I thought was a great result. This was the team that beat Arsenal yesterday. Now Palace and Stoke under Hughes and Pullis are clawing their way to safety. So would we under Malky? Of course we would because we would have had a system in place with everyone knowing what they were doing. So no bullshitters on here please about free flowing football which you wanted but which Malky knew could not be done in the maiden year. Hope all those who were strong in their opinion are there to supportthe boys next year in if we go down. Mmmm! :ayatollah:

2nd worse defensive record when Malky left proves that we were infact.....not hard to beat.

I'm happy because i can see the way Ole wants to set the team out to play. a few players in the next window and we will be fine.
f**k the dreadfull to watch 10 behind the ball and hoofing it rubbish :thumbright:

No-one was upset with the 0-0 at Stoke you fool. People were annoyed that Malky didn't at least try and win the game by bringing on someone like Noone when evidently the game was there for the taking.

As already mentioned we were not hard to beat under Malky. That is a myth that baffles me because no-one can answer why they even think such a thing

Sometimes you must take a step back to take a bigger step forward.

Get into championship.
Get into a good rhythm and gain some much needed confidence.
Then return to the top flight with some actual momentum.

I can't stand these fans who keep saying "we would be doing better if Malky was in charge" etc, none of you know that. Get over it, he's gone. Stop moaning about Malky and start supporting Ole because the team really needs our support right now.

Tan sacked Malky not the fans. Rightly or wrongly he's gone . Would he have kept us up? We don't know .

Re: You foolish people

Mon Mar 03, 2014 8:32 am

I wanted Malky Out....Because his relationship with Tan was untenable.
it would have never worked under that strain.

I agree In so much as we were not hard to beat. However what we were doing was picking up points hence us having 17points from 17 games, from what on paper was arguably a tougher 1st half to our season.

Looking at the table as it stands today,if we had
maintained that ratio of a point per game we would in all probabilities have stayed up.

Agreed, we we averaged about a point a game however. Not got many points since Tan started his interference at xmas .

So people now claim outside pressures effect the players?

Hmmmmm didnt bother them last season, but if you honestly believe that then why this protest against Liverpool??? Surely a distraction to the players?

In all fairness the last few losses were when Malky was trying to run a team and being undermined by Tan.

Anyone can get a team to commit forward and look good on the eye but there is little point if they don't defend at the other end.

I got news for you, tans relationship with ole is also not delivering on the pitch either. The common denominator is........I'll let you work that one out.

Malky's shit signings and not signing a proven striker in the summer. Glad we agree

What did tan do? did he tell malky to play shite boring hoof football with 10 defenders ?

Re: You foolish people

Yeah Tan was a c**t...

But it takes two to tango.
Anyone who thinks Malky is innocent is a bigger fool.

Who released the email?

As for the last few results!!!

Had Malky had the dressing room and the backing of all the squad, then they would've responded in his hours of need.

Southampton at home tells a much different story though doesn't it.

Shit defensive record under MM and couldnt score goals either, we would be no better off now under him. He cost us big time early in the season by setting up for draws at home to teams no better than us and trying to see out games at 0-0 and getting caught out in the last 10 because we were camped on our own goaline. Not to mention one of the worst signings for 8 million I have seen. I suggest you remove those rose tinted glasses, mmm !

I see your point, and yes maybe we would have been harder to beat, but at the end of the day, football is here for our entertainment! I found watching Malky's games in charge to be quite worrying. I didn't like us getting batterd weak in week out, and yeah maybe it got us some results but under Ole the football were playing is by far more entertaining! I enjoy us passing the ball well and controlling the game. Yes it may not sinked in the way ole wants to play football quite yet, but I think people will applaud some of our well worked goals in the future.

Don't get me wrong, we have had some shocking results under ole, but it was never going to be an easy task for him or anyone! I will respect what malky has done for this club because he is a legend in my eyes, and it's a shame how he left, but the football will only get better to watch under ole! :ayatollah: :ole:

i was one of those pissed off, but i didnt sack Malky.. Didnt sing please sack Makay.. in fact those who did support him couldnt have done any more than they did to keep him and most ;ikel;y caused Tan to hesitate......those 4 or 5 games could well be vital come May.......we had a manager who had no idea how to convert defence into attack.a team in freefall because others had worked us out, poor signings, and were looking foward to the legendary MALKY MARCH { 2 wins in 13 fixtures in the month of March in the last 2 years.........im not convinced about Ole,but do appreciate the monumental task he took on..
and i will be there next year.. i think its the sheep that sing the stupid stuff that will leave..
surely the foolish ones are those that fought tooth and nail to keep a manager in place whose relationship with the owner had completely broken down?
