Ellis Short Sunderland Chairman

Sun Mar 02, 2014 12:48 pm

Very warming interview on Sky just now and showed not all foreign owners are meglomaniacs.

Spoke proudly about the away support at Man U in the Semi and the tens of thousands of Sunderland fans in their red and white around Leicester Square and Covent Garden last night.

Also talked about the history, how they havent won a cup since 1972 and how the motm from that day is his guest of honour.

Mentioned how Gus Poyet had turned them around after a difficult start, and how the cup run had helped lift the spirits but didnt mention Di Canio or point fingers.

A very rare interview and cone across a thoroughly decent guy.

Tan take note.
