Taking A Chance..

Sun Mar 02, 2014 11:10 am

The clamour for success and world class stars are the reason why the British game fails.

Prime example is Daniel Sturridge.

Youngster at Man City tipped for a big future.

Money became no object and they went for mega stars instead of nurturing the potential.

Chelsea offered an chance.... Same applied, £50M Torres

Liverpool gave him the Chance.

They're going to reap the rewards of City's and Chelsea's Ignorance.

I think Man City are more than happy with the strikers they've got.

It's totally related to the point. They released him as they feel they have/need better.

Chelsea is a different story, however. But then, they are run a totally different way to Manchester City.

It was never Sturridges ability that saw him leave both City and Chelsea. He was at City, leading the line, along with Ched Evans before the money came. The story goes that when the big money came to Manchester City Sturride wanted a bigger slice of the cake than he deserved so left for Chelsea.

At Chelsea he was on the wing, had an appalling attitude by all accounts. Only now at Liverpool is he playing to his full potential for a manager that believes in him.

Man City never wanted to release Sturridge, they offered him a contract and he turned it down because Chelsea offered more.

It went to a tribunal in the end.
