There is a relegation gap forming -

Sat Mar 01, 2014 11:26 pm

With Villa playing Norwich, you playing Spurs away and Swansea playing Palace home.

Not an exact art, but the way the table is starting to shape up, I think a defeat for you and it could be 5 teams batting to avoid 3 places....

No way are West Ham in realistic relegation trouble. They probably need 2 wins from 10.

Jacks should be out of it with an expected win tomorrow.
Fulham and Cardiff gone IMO, the last place will go to the wire. I think Norwich will end up relegated.

Can't see where the next win will come from. I honestly doubt we will hit 30 pts.
Not that I'm one for optimism.

With Bellamy, Medel and Mutch back I think you have a fighting chance.

Your issue could be the pressure being 19th brings as the games start to run out. But could go either way for you, depends how your players respond to pressure.

From what I've seen so far not very well!
Big players for us no doubt but it will be our shambles at the back, fullbacks particularly, that will cost us. Marshall deserves a lot better.

In all honesty it is probably a 5 horse race already, may even be 1 less as Sunderland will have 2 games in hand after tomorrow.

I'd defiantly count Norwich in that as well. Their last 4 games are tough plus their goalscoring record is poor (only one more than us)

It'll be a very tight as in who will get 18th. I really doubt Fulham and us will stay up.

I love the jacks superiority complex , they are not a good team which is shown by there league position .

If they lose today which is very possible and we win they will be 3points off the relegation place .
They are far from safe and should concentrate on beating palace first .

it takes the teams in the relegation places 4 games to get 3 points on average. We have a far superior GD too meaning we are in reality 4 pts clear. With 10/11 games left that is a decent sized gap, especially if we win today.

Ive never been concerned about relegation and least of all now we are back to our superb best.

Superb best ?
Since your win against us you've played 5 won 0 lost 3 drawn 2 conceding 11 goals

Ahh I see what you mean now your best is shit ! I stand corrected :D

if you lose today and villa/norwich is a draw you are 2 places above relegation and possibly only 3 points . You are far for safe .

Since Garry Monk took over he has achieved more points per game than any previous swansea manager in Premier League history.

That includes the european qualifying, cup winning top 10 side of last year. Our only two real defeats coming against Napoli and Liverpool away, both which we could easily have won and received widespread for both...

So yes, back to our superb best.

So a 3-1 defeat to everton didn't count then ?

What about a lucky 1-1 draw at stoke ?

You can keep the ball with your pretty triangles and possession stats all you like but that doesn't stop you getting relegated . Wins do . At the moment he is averaging a point a game . That is relegation form and will leave you under the supposed magic 40 point mark . Dress it up as much as you like you are in a relegation fight as well . Especially if you don't win today .
