Hello,
My name is Matthew O’Brien and I am a 3rd year student at the University of South Wales, studying Police sciences. I am currently researching for my dissertation looking at Public Order Police during Football matches. My overall goal is to try and gain an understanding of what the respective fans think of the police activity that they see on match day.
To achieve this understanding, I intend to use an online questionnaire that could be sent out to both fans of Tottenham Hotspur and Cardiff City FC. All the data that I gather from you will remain anonymous, I will not ask for your name or any contact details, so any data used in the study will be nameless and any data obtained will be destroyed after the dissertation is completed. Upon completing this questionnaire, you will be giving me the consent to use the information you provide in my final study for interpretation and comparison which will then be put into the final Dissertation. If you do not wish to take part in this study, there is no obligation to do so, it is your choice.
I thank you for taking the time to read this and hopefully you do decide to take part in my study and if you have any queries I have attached my email, do not hesitate to send any questions

Completed, in Uni myself and know how difficult it is to complete research projects
