Cardiff City supporters will protest against owner Vincent Tan before the club's match with Liverpool on March 22 - after the Malaysian gave an interview saying the club would never return to blue under his regime.

In an interview with the BBC recorded on Berjaya Founder's Day last week - when Tan is honoured by employees of his massive business conglomerate in Kuala Lumpar - he also said if supporters annoyed him he could walk away from the club.

Tan added he had saved the club from ruin and that without him pumping millions of pounds into the club it would have "gone down".

But supporters who are still angry with the club's change in colour from blue to red and Tan's controversial style will make make their feelings known at a staged rally ahead of the match with Liverpool next month.

A similar protest held at Christmas when Tan and ex-manager Malky Mackay were involved in a bitter public bust-up attracted more than 1,000 fans.

The Liverpool match has been identified by organisers because of the symbolism of Cardiff wearing red at home to one of British football's iconic team's with red home colours.

Annis Abraham, a supporter of more than 40 years standing, said: "First of all, playing Liverpool at home as a child growing up has been my dream for many years and the dream of many other fans.

"We should be blue and they should be red.

"To have the team we have dreamt about coming to Cardiff all these years and your team is going to run out in red against Liverpool, to me, is absolutely pathetic.

"What gets worse is that every time we are leading up to important games, Vincent Tan comes out with pathetic statements which make us a laughing stock or, should I say, himself a laughing stock.

"The fans have had enough.

"Everyone believes we should go out on a high in the Premier League should it carry on the way it's going and the fans should show their voice again.

"Liverpool at home will be the perfect day because we should be in blue."

we should be concentrating about the football - not what colour shirt they are wearing, the current bunch of players are not good or fit enough to wear a city shirt except for david marshall -caulker, medal

if we go down we will be stripped of our best players and left with the joe lewis,s kev mcnaughtons, matthew Connolly, tommy smith etc are these good enough to get us out of the championship - don't think so

This is what the fans are up against

we have to survive otherwise we are up shit creek - we will only be able to attract average players who wont big money.
even if we sell players what are we going to get

sell caulker and 50% goes to spurs what he worth now 3-5million we only get half that the other player with value is marshall maybe the same price and medal he will be gone for sure and we will have tommysmith etc left

Make sure this happens, really really spread the word, no half hearted turn outs. Anyone that doesn't agree with how Cardiff City is being run speak up. Small suggestion make the protest at 2 O'Clock, last time 1 O'Clock seemed to early, protest then straight into the game.

Id rather have a team in blue with tommy smiths than keep playing in this red rubbish. It's not us! you'd have enough to say if this happened to Real Madrid or man utd. It's about identity. This man thinks he can just change things without fan consultation and get away with it. How would he feel if we did that to his national flag and put a frog as the national symbol of Malaysia. Unite and stand up to him. We must have our voices heard.

6 thousand fans in division 3 will not cover the cost of running our new stadium how do we propose to do that
