Family Stand season Tickets

Fri Feb 28, 2014 3:27 pm

I knew it was coming...........?
Been a ST holder in Family stand for 10 years with son, we've now been told we have to move as he's over 16, I asked to move to Canton 108, but was told there was none available until they were released to general sale from tomorrow. If I wanted to buy & confirm today I would have to go in 109 which is category 3 at a cost of £700 ish!! Bloody joke
After expressing my total dissatisfaction and disappointment at the way the club has operated the joke policy of Family Stand tickets over the last few years, I was able to speak to a supervisor. He has taken my details and will reserve me 2 tickets in Canton 108 for £130 ish less. A bit of a result, but?
My point to them is how can the club charge a person £80 more when they've BEEN TOLD to move from one end to another in the same category?
They also mentioned they will be sifting out families who have renewed on line where a child is over 16.

I had the same problem. The price jump from junior to 16 is bad enough on it's own, but then you get kicked out of your seat and you're forced to move to an area that adds an extra £100 on top of all of that. Unfortunately I won't be renewing this season due to the price

I know what your saying and it would actually save me money , it would make one hypocrite mind as I hate seeing all the empty seats around especially for the smaller & midweek games.
The club need to sort it out, they've got it all wrong!

My daughter turned 16 in January. Our renewals allowed us to stay in the Family Stand albeit with her ticket going up.

No it's just the two of us.

However I haven't renewed yet as we were thinking of moving anyway. Perhaps they'll bounce my renewal if I get seats in the Family Stand.

I don't think the club quite understand what Family actually means.

I honestly cant see what the problem is if say a 60 year gentleman wanted to sit in the family stand with
his 80 year old Dad in the same way a 28 year old would with his 8 year old son.

It should be somewhere you can go and you know it is going to be a certain environment where
people are likely to sit, your unlikely to here bad language etc

It's not a family stand if your excluding family's based on age if they want to go down that route they should change it to the 'Parents with Children stand' somewhere you can go and you know it is going to be a certain environment where
people are likely to sit, your unlikely to here bad language etc

What happens if the Dad has a 17 year old son and a 12 year old, does the 17 year old have to sit somewhere else? or are they allowed to sit in the FAMILY stand as a FAMILY.

The only reason I have stuck my beak into this thread is because I know of people who had this issue at Ninian Park and when
they complained the club backed down.

Most people probably just accept it but trust me, you have all the rights here as otherwise its age discrimination

You might be lucky, I was given different advice by different people, think if you renew on line you'll have a chance?
Down to the Ticket office, they may flush you out. They implied they are aware of this and will try to sort out when it quietness down. I don't think that will happen?

My dad and 3 of his mates went through all this when us kids grew up and went our own
way, the club tried to say they couldn't stay where they were which were good seats they had
sat in for 10-15 years since the Junior Bluebirds Days.. The club backed down in the end depends how
far your willing to take it.
