In the aftermath of Tan's interview with the BBC I have broken down some of the key points into sub threads so that we can discuss and air our opinions on the specific points of the interview in a thread that is not going to get bogged down to much, there is clearly lots to discuss these sub threads will allow us to do that on a point by point basis.

The appointment of Malky didn't inspire me a lot when it happened. I was hoping on Martin O'Neil to come in but as we are finding we just simple are not that big an attraction for the like of that.

At present I just feel we are a stepping stone club for up and coming managers. Excluding Pulis who perhaps is the only experienced premier manager who would consider us there just is no top manager who is interested in us. I would also say there is less interest now with Tan at the helm.

Regarding Malky I think Tans statement on him is harsh. I felt Malky had the credentials to become a good manager when I saw his team at Watford beat us 4-1. Although we beat them 4-2 a month later what impressed me in that game is we were 3 up after 20 minutes but Watford got back into the game and looked like gaining a point. We struggled to hang on and as Watford pushed for the equalising we got a breakaway goal to secure the 3 points. Watford played some attractive football but the strange thing is we never saw that under Malky here.

So Malky has it in him to play a good game but I get the impression the pressure was on him to get the results. I just feel Malky played a safe game here due to the pressure from on top.

Malky always played negative football from the day he came here. boring to watch and if it wasn't for the chasing pack constantly failing to take advantage of our performances we would be still in the championship.

Malky did an outstanding job, only have to look at how Nigel Pearson fared on a bigger budget last season to see that.

DJ also did a great job but he didn't do as well as Malky because his sides lacked the grit and toughness Malky's sides had.

VT is just sniping at Malky, he is obviously very bitter about something silly. All managers make bad transfers.

The thing that annoys me is the blame Malky gets for the money squandered.

The fact is Malky should never have been in the position to negotiate transfer fees and salaries, its not normal for the manager to do that. Malky should have identified the players he wanted and it should then be up to the chairman to do the rest.

This is just another pointer to the fact that Tan has no idea how to run the club and making Malky the scapegoat for his dumb actions is scandalous, almost as scandalous as the fans who listen to Tan and blame Malky.

In my mind the buck stops with Tan and his man Lim.
