Selling our players

People seem to have the idea that selling the players that got us promoted will in some way benefit us.

As Swansea did that didn't they??. Nope.

We are a newly promoted team that should keep a core of committed players. Yet you want to flog off the 'deadwood' to buy a load of foreigners.

Lets go down with Gunnarsson, Taylor, Cowie, Whittingham etc. They are the types of players we will need to come straight back up

Look at some of the complete crap at Stoke, Hull, WBA etc. It is not about individual quality of players, it is about organisation and motivation. Gunnarsson is 24 and the captain of Iceland, he would be snapped up straight away by Premier League teams if we sold him, yet people want to get rid. Keep the players, don't sell them. Next year we will be glad to have players such as Taylor, so maybe try not treating them like shit now.

I'd rather stick with tried and tested Championship promotion campaigners than gamble on other players.

players have ambitions to play football at the highest level. If a bid comes in & is turned down by CCFC then they have every right to sulk about it.
