QUESTION/POSSIBLE IDEA IF REFUSED CREDIT ON SEASON TICKET

Mon Feb 24, 2014 8:29 pm

I have not seen the finance form for renewing a season ticket this year with Cardiff City but understand that last season the finance was offered through Zebra finance and the club guaranteed every application so everyone who applied was accepted.

This season the finance is being offered through V12 finance and there is not a guarantee from the club to approve each application.

I have read and heard that more than 500 supporters who are trying to renew have been refused the credit.

So my question is, on the form or the application for finance is it possible to have the application made for finance in someone else's name (a guarantor) and the season ticket placed in another name. ie. your mum, dad, brother or friend takes out the finance but the season ticket is in your name ?

I know this is not ideal but it could be a fix for those who need the finance option to purchase a season ticket for next season.

I am glad you were accepted but some of our supporters are upset as they can't afford the money in one hit.

On the finance form was you able to submit an application for someone else ?

A lot of the rejections have been down to administrative errors like Not putting the correct address to the named person and using a bank account that doesn't match the person applying .
The ticket Office has helped a load of people after rejections ,everybody who gets rejected just need to double check they did everything correctly and try again .

The same happened last year with zebra

I believe they'll only reject you if you've been declared bankrupt or bein investigated or been convicted of fraud

I pay for mine & son's season ticket on one mandate, my son is a student living away at Uni, so he has his own seperate contact details from mine, so to answer Carl's question; yes it is possible for A N Other to pay for a season ticket holder.

I'm not sure, I didn't notice so don't think so. I usually get refused for everything so I was shocked I got accepted.

Why can't Annis guarantee every application lol

There are some credit cards offering 0% for purchases - as long as you are eligible and clever you can save money :

£500 for ST - purchase on CC - (may be a small admin fee from club) - spread cost over 10 months = £50pm, some cards offer longer periods but try and pay off as quickly as possible. This will also help you build up a credeit score for the future, as long as well maintained.

If the CC is not 0% - not really worth it.

I've been refused by V12 but was accepted previously by Zebra, I've emailed the club to see if there's anything they can do (eagerly awaiting a response). Other than that it looks like I'll be relying on buying tickets on a game by game basis, an expensive way but needs must I suppose, plus I can't see any games being sold out next Season (forgive me for saying this but) if/when we go down!

v12 finance a rip off, charging each individual a fee of £20 when they apply for the 10 month finance, also an extra 50p to check their credit rating.

Not me. I also had an email confirming the rejection as well as told by them over the phone. Not happy.
