As soon as Tan changed the colours and the badge, the Cardiff City I have known and loved for years died, I felt nothing when watching us walk the championship and nothing seeing people celebrating waving red scarfs with dragons on them. Now people seem to think this was an easy decision, granted I've not felt the same since leaving Ninian Park but have followed Cardiff home and away for 20 years and I miss the football badly!
I agree some of my views and the way I've put them over have been confrontational and I apologise for that but it's a very emotive issue and one I am passionate about. I've not seen a Cardiff game since West Ham away in the playoffs and will stick by my principles til the end. Have I been tempted to go down this season? f**k yeah but I made my bed and will lie in it.
I don't want to argue with any Cardiff fan, I can't understand those who have abused BU in the past or those who've lapped up the red but everyone is entitled to their opinions I suppose.
Anyway, this isn't an attention seeking post and I don't care if no one replies, I just wanted to defend myself because I'm Cardiff City through and through and when we're back blue and Tan shows the fans some respect I'll be back whatever league we're in.

Simon, unfortunately there are far too many on here at the moment who simply don't understand the wider picture and are simply out to get people to 'bite' on every occasion![]()
I may or may not agree with your decision to 'walk away' from the club you supported so well for so many years, but I have certainly stated previously that you are one of the few on this Forum that had the balls to carryout your threat if/when we turned to the Red and I will always give you credit for that![]()
I have spoken to people who know you, and who tell me how bloody hard it was for you to do so![]()
Don't bite, fella. Just ask youself how important these people are in your life and then smile and say "Feck 'em!"

if you don't go you are consider NOT a fan. If you go you are a sellout. You can't win with some people so its not worth getting wound up about.
I consider myself on the fence regarding about attending or not. I would call it a day if the fans decided it was red. However the fanbase is well off that red demarkation line. Therefore I'm comfortable still going.
Like yourself I just cant understand why anyone would support or wear the rebrand. I also cant understand why people criticise BU. As you say that is their choice. What I cant stand are those who preached to the anti rebrand that they should not attend games becuase its putting money into the devils pocket, that is Tan himself. THEN next thing the same people are telling Tan to go because of the sacking of MM yet have renewed for next season. HYPOCRITES.

FairPlay to you for having the balls to give up on something that you clearly love. I despise the red but have not given up yet. Saturday hurt like hell and I walked out with 20 to go. The way I feel at the moment I don't want to go again.
I've followed ccfc for 34 years most of which have been as an exile. I've dragged my boys up to be ccfc and until recently was proud that I did. Tan has slowly sapped my love for city. Hopefully he'll leave soon and we get our club back. If he stays I'm not there next season.

City is in my blood (like you) but to think about missing a game on a Saturday regardless who's in charge, what colour we are in and what league we are in sends shivers through me (not over reacting either - that really did just happen as I was writing!)
I hope you and like minded people like yourself come back soon.
