turner must be a bit pissed

Mon Feb 24, 2014 9:29 am

last game he played he was m.o.t.m for me...a good solid performance, and he has been dropped, not doing a lot for his confidence,i think cala should of been pushed into the middle and caulker and turner at the back... :ayatollah:

He didn't look happy, warming up down the sidelines.

I think this is part of the problem. OGS is employing a squad rotation system, our players aren't used to that. They are of the mindset that if they play well then they deserve to play the next game (fitness allowing), and rightly so. OGS has dropped in form players a few times now.

early days, but Cala looks the real deal,Ben Turner isnt a prem center half no matter how much heart he has.
Hudson must have been pissed to not start under Malky also, but Malky had it happen to him as a player, its how football is.

Cala adds so much more than Turner, like passing and being able to control the ball with ease

Yeah we were so much stronger defensively without Ben on saturday weren't we ? Ben is without doubt our best defensive centre back. Bugger the passing the main job of the centre backs is to stop the opposition .

It's not a squad rotation - that implies tactics behind the changes

he just doesn't know what his beat starting eleven are - you would have though after almost two months observation he could have reached this conclusion

Tan out

Turner praying Cardiff get some luck as they look to end barren run
BEN TURNER claims Cardiff need to find the light at the end of the tunnel as soon as possible after their latest setback.

The Bluebirds gave a much improved performance at White Hart Lane on Sunday but still lost 1-0 to Tottenham - and haven’t scored now for 400 minutes.

Defender Turner knows that must change if Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s team are to avoid the drop and admits they will take any sort of goal against Fulham this Saturday.

Turner said: “We need something to light us up. If that is a one-yard tap-in from a knock down then so be it. We have to make it happen.

“Everyone has to try and make it happen, whether that be defenders going up for free-kicks. Someone has to get on the end of something to spark us off.”

Cardiff even missed the chance of the match at Spurs when Steven Caulker headed against the bar from six yards.

Turner said: “The whole side is disappointed. We missed a chance from point-blank range and we had balls going across the goal in the second half.

“It happened really quickly. It just hit his head and it hit the bar. He was so close to the goal.

“It’s those things that are not quite going for us at the moment.
