Coleman will still f**k it up.

Belgium just kicked us in the teeth
Sun Feb 23, 2014 11:57 am
We need to drop coleman now and bring in a fresh respected manager who can bring relief to the side.
even with coleman we might get 2nd place and lose in the play offs which isnt too bad thats how weak our group is

If we get 2nd we qualify directly. As does the best 3rd placed team. The other 4 3rd placed teams contest the playoffs

After being drawn into a decent group, lots of people seem to be confident. Everyone should try and make the Iceland game on 5th March. Just £10 adults and £1 U16s
Sun Feb 23, 2014 12:02 pm
Belgium should have been in pot 1
Sun Feb 23, 2014 12:50 pm
Best chance in years. Shame Coleman's the one leading the campaign though.
Sun Feb 23, 2014 1:26 pm
What a chance we have to go through. The top 2 teams go through from each group, the best 3rd spot team from all leagues goes through and the other 3 rd place teams going into the playoff. With the Euro being 24 teams now not 16, this is the best chance teams like Wales have ever had. Bring on france 2016

I'll be pleased and happy, the FAW has ruined it for me. The fact I went and sold a ticket for Wales v Scotland at home, a game I was buzzing for says it all.
Mon Feb 24, 2014 12:18 am
The FAW haven't changed for 30 odd years. You are just annoyed because there is now a major Swansea link to the side.
Just get over it would be my advice. If qualifying would make you "happy" as you have just admitted, then support what would bring you happiness ortherwise you are cutting off your nose to spite your face. Easy

B***ock. They have changed a lot. It has nothing to do with the Swansea link, it doesn't bother me. I have admitted a lot of times he is a good centre back and we are fortunate to have him and happy he chose us. Although he wanted a international career and his only option was us as he was never ever going to get a sniff for England and took the easy option like a few others. Can disagree with that if you want but it's the reality of it.
I have a dislike for the whole you can play despite being born in this country because you have a great great great granddad who was Welsh. Think they should overlook the rule and only if you have a parent who is born Wales then that's all okay.
If any player *don't care about the club they play for* are captain for us despite not being born in Wales then I will not turn up. Simple as.
I have thought about my stance a lot of times, I guess it's OTT but it's how I feel.
Just can't feel pride watching us walk out.
I still watch bits of the games on times when I can and I miss it.. can't beat an international IMO. I agree with your second part and I have considered going to a friendly soon maybe to see how I actually feel.
I have been slated plenty of times but I don't argue or abuse people who go still. I give my opinion in good manner.

Its just nonsense though Dando isn't it. You have made a stance and now feel you have gone too far even though probably realising its a bit silly.
You called for a foreign manager not so long ago. quite simply the job of the captain is to enforce the managers instructions on the pitch... So why is it ok for a foreign manager with no connection to Wales to lead the side yet its not acceptable for someone with a Welsh grandparent to make sure those instructions happen on the pitch - also a player who luckily for us is the most dedicated Wales player in decades.
Its just unfathomably ridiculous.

Same could be said for saying why Swansea haven't got a manager from Swansea or us not having one from Cardiff.
I called for a foreign manager yes. But is it a big deal having a foreign manager? No because it happens everywhere.
I want to see the country go forward and the only was is by possibly taking that approach as it has worked a lot past few years for Countries.

No it couldn't because it isnt anything like being the same, it is club football not international football.
If you are happy for a German manager with no connections to Wales at all to be the mastermind and leader behind the whole Welsh campaign.... then it makes no sense what so ever to be unhappy to the point of boycotting over someone who qualifies to play for wales through blood who is the most dedicated player in our team and captain of a Welsh club to captain the side.
Its the most ridiculous stance ive ever heard and i dont mean t be rude

I think Ramsey should be the one leading the team out but I've got no complaints with Williams. I don't think he's ever picked up an untimely "injury" before a Wales game either.
On the manager front I'm happy with Coleman. I've lost my temper with his selections a few times but I think he's got what it takes. Just needs to stop using Ricketts centre back. Awful player.

Agreed fully in respect's to my stance.
Coleman is not the man and he hasn't got what it takes. Sadly.

Ramsey was an awful choice in the first place. He is one of the most mild mannered and quiet players we have. A lot of people just think "hes a good player so he should be captain" probably born out of the school playing fields where the best two players were always the captains.... Probably why Ryan Giggs was given the captaincy who was one of the worst choices in recent history.
A captain is someone that commands respect, is a natural leader and has experience. There is nobody better suited than Ashley Williams. He is an example to everyone else with his commitment, he is captain of the most successful Welsh team in living memory and as a centre back has a great view of the match to see if anybody needs direction. He is by far the best choice of captain in our side.
Who else has the above criteria?
Mon Feb 24, 2014 9:20 am
Whilst I disagree about Williams as captain & mirror your thoughts that it should be a "true" Welshman as captain, he's been far more committed to the cause than many of the "true" Welshman.
I would also say the same if Turner had accepted the offer to play for Wales, nothing to do with Ashley's club connections.
Mon Feb 24, 2014 10:13 am
If we don't make at least te playoffs then Coleman should go down as the worst Wales manager in History. With the players he has to pick from if he can't beat Andorra, Cyprus and Israel then there's something seriously wrong. We should even give Bosnia a good game. Belgium will win the group comftably.
Mon Feb 24, 2014 10:22 am
This team that doesn't even have a striker you mean?

apart from Bale, Ramsey, Davies and Williams.... Who do we have of any note?
I think you are wrong in that simplistic view. But on the flip side, if we qualify then he also has to go down as one of the most successful Wales managers in history.
Mon Feb 24, 2014 10:53 am
Vokes is on decent form at the moment, hopefully he continues to improve by the time the qualifiers start. Otherwise we may have to stick Bale up front or play without a striker and make our wingers work harder
Mon Feb 24, 2014 10:59 am
Do I think we will qualify with Coleman in charge? I'm not too confident to be honest. However, he is the manager and stranger things have happened. I will be giving Wales my full support for this campaign and will believe we can qualify! Automatically too! No easy games but I include us in that category. Nobody will relish coming to play us. Even with Coleman in charge we have it in ourselves to get a result against anyone!
Cymru am byth!!!

Please explain to me who Andorra, Cyprus and Isreal have to note?
If we don't finish above them then it just proves how shit a manager Coleman is.
