Not really the main bone of contention is the rebrand. That hasn't changed what has is that we look like we are going down. It seems like people think it's a price worth paying for premiership football but not for championship football.

Its your first season in the prem and was allways going to be a missive ask to stay up
To many keep blaming tan and the red, but all thats well and good and u should be pissed off.
But when u beat city and things were looking good u were all singing and happy, but now its all gone pear shaped u cant get behind your team on the pitch.
As soon as that team kicks off u should be 100% behind them and singing.
If u lose then so be it as u are new in this league and its a massive step up from the champ.

We are shagged and we may need this to rediscover ourselves. 15K next season not many red shirts in sight may be the start of our regeneration.

i wear blue every game,and most of those i see turning up in red are long time fans..what we used to call shirts because they always have worn them even when it was un cool.........tbh its pretty un cool now but its my personal protest.
what we will lose are the angry young men that went to rochdale and carlisle before they were even born..

Let me take you back to the August 25, 2013. Premier League newcomers Cardiff City were playing against big spending Manchester City in a real David vs Goliath battle.

For 90 minutes, everytime the opposition got the ball, loud boo’s could be heard from the 25,000 plus Cardiff supporters. Every touch of the ball by their heroes was greeted with affection and admiration.

Fast forward to February 22, 2014. Not even half a year later, and at times you could hear a pin drop. People who didn’t know each other, but six months before had been hugging and jumping with joy together, were at each other’s throats.

The one main principle problem has been the division that has been caused amongst the Cardiff fans.

Since Vincent Tan changed the colour of the shirts to red, there has always been a division. It’s a broad generalisation, but the old guard, myself included, thought it was an insult to our history and heritage. You also have the newer fans who, through no fault of their own, don’t see the big deal and just enjoy supporting their local team.

You also have the nonsense that went on with Malky McKay. This should never have happened, and Malky should be in charge right now fighting in the trenches. The fans felt a real bond with Malky, and knew that as long as he was in charge, his men would fight from the first to the last minute. They would be well organised, and yes the football might be negative and for lack of a better word ‘boring’, but it got us points.
Again, the fans feel that their views were not taken into consideration or respected by the owners of the club, therefore they voice their frustration at the players and with each other. There were people leaving after the fourth goal went in against Hull after 65 minutes, and I can’t blame them in the slightest. I was hurting.

But I saw fans leaving being pushed down the stairs, met with chants of ‘loyal supporters’ and people squaring up to each other.
So what is the answer? I think as City fans, we have to accept that we are not staying up.

February was the month where we had the opportunity to put a run together against teams around us, and we won one (just), drew one (just) and lost twice while conceding seven goals without reply.

The important thing to do now, is to support the boys, make the older players remember why they love playing for the club, make the newer players understand what it means to wear the Cardiff shirt.

More importantly than anything else, we need to stick together like we always have when the chips are down. We need to rediscover the love of following our team. Lets not attack each other, lets focus our energy on pushing our players on, and give us a stable platform to go down and come back stronger.

We have had very little connection to our club for a long time. Definitely since Ridsdale days probably in hamamm days even.

have to say i will always support cardiff city no matter what but the fact still remains we all embraced tan when tg brought him into the club we all welcomed his money and without it would we have got promoted in the 1st place ?. then we had the red v blue debate well red doesnt seem to have been lucky for us has it so who knows what will happen next year,but my main point is this we deserve all we will get this season never have i seen people turn on players ie peter whittenham disgraceful then they turn on other fans over the colour of there top or the fact they leave early they pay there money if they want to leave its up to them at least they turn up to watch support the team and each other we are all cardiff city fans 1st and formost

The fans just as pathetic, it's all a game to a lot of fans (not all) . Not all fans but some clearly supporting an out of depth malky to have a go at tan. Never allowing ole a chance to have a go at tan. It's all games to people now, everything has to be about having a go at tan, it's tiresome even if he does deserve the vast majority. It's political from top to bottom, sadly supporting the club is no longer an enjoyment that's down to everyone.

This is all old ground. Re-brand done to death. Division within fans groups was an obvious by product, and could of, and should have been stopped when its ugly head first showed itself. If people are surprised that we are struggling in this division, and for one moment thought this season wasn't going to be a grind. Deluded is the only word for these people. Stirring up a storm for their own agenda. A lot of self preservation going on within minority groups of supporters. Certain fan types realising that they are no longer wanted or needed in modern football. If you don't like modern day football, then go watch your local non-league team, I'm sure this will bring back the good old days for you.
