' The current blame for Cardiff City's crisis lies with one man and one man only '
Vincent Tan is the owner,he has sacked Malky,he sanctioned all the transfers, then publicly undermined the manager, divided our fans on the rebrand/Malky/created mass debt, yet to deliver on solving the debt and Tan has also created an international media circus which has rounded on the club.
After sacking Malky, rightly or wrongly, Tan then brings in an inexperienced manager for the Premier League of all the divisions and a relegation battle to boot.
To sum it up, Vincent Tan is the man at the top and gives all the orders, so takes the credit when all goes right(walking around the pitch after Bolton game taking the plaudits) and when all goes wrong thanks to his clueless football knowledge.
Who do you blame for the whole current crisis?
Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:52 am
Tan is to blame and his biggest mistake was sacking malky
Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:54 am
Bang on the money Annis - VT is entirely to blame for the way this season has panned out, regardless of what people say etc.
His crazy, ill informed decisions have rocked our boat all season and regardless of what happens on the pitch this season, our first Prem season will always be remembered for VT's moronic ownership than anything else.
As bad as the rebranding is, putting that to one side - if he'd not interfered and let the original manager do his job, I daresay we wouldn't be in the position we are now. No, I wasn't a fan of Malky's football, and the Cornelius signing is now very questionable in the cold light of day, but the fact that so much dirty laundry has been aired and so many changes been made - it has effectively fucked our season for us.
I used to laugh at those who said we'd be the next QPR, but this is looking more and more true by the week.
I honestly don't know where the club go from here - other than down...
Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:54 am
I blame Vincent tan for the unbalanced circus of a club we currently have .
I blame Malky mackay for the lack of quality in our squad after having roughly 40 mill to spend it should be better
I blame oles tinkering for the current form of the team .
I blame ( most ) of the players for not having the bollocks to fight for survival and prove everyone wrong by staying up
It's not just down to one man it's been a collective effort all season
Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:55 am
Whoever brought and decided this crop of players and managers are to blame. Why not buy players/managers with Prem experience like Hull Palace? We were better than these teams last season.
Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:56 am
Perhaps some fans will now realise what we had in Malky but then again..............
Sun Feb 23, 2014 10:57 am
Hammam, Ridsdale, Tan, Mackay & OGS have to shoulder some responsibility for the mess that my club of over 20 years has become.....
Hammam - willing to close us down to get his questionable "loan" back...
Ridsdale - The lying begins! Golden ticket scandal and no improvement on finances
Tan - Rebrand, debt to equity lie (so far), dividing fans and disregard to our history
Mackay - wasting valuable transfer budget on Cornelius, Velikonja, Brayford and Odemwingie as well as using our club as a media tool to vent his anger at Tan
OGS - sad to say, his tactical naivety and worrying lack of passion is not looking helpful
For me, my club is a bigger mess than ever and each of the above need to shoulder some blame

I wish people would stop going on about malky being some sort of god .
Yes he was a nice guy and a decent manager who still had a lot to learn , but the football was dire , results were bad and his signings for the most part poor .
His last 6 games as our manager we scored 1 goal conceded 12 . Got smashed at Southampton , outplayed by palace and were woeful at stoke , we were on the brink of the relegation places and he was sacked because results . His time here was for the most part fantastic but was out of his depth in the premier league and deserved to go IMO .

The shameful thing is the way in which some fans were actually supporting Tans decision to sack Malky and were very quick in being dismissive of Malkys legacy. Well it would appear that your new messaih is just a dud and this whole mess is simply a result of Tan putting his ego ahead of the good of the club.
Sun Feb 23, 2014 11:07 am
Based on your theory Annis. Tan is the man who got us promoted then, he takes all that glory, he is the man who got us a cup final, he takes the credit. He signed the cheques for Noone, Caulker and the good signings so he must take the credit.
Not a chance!!
The good signings we made were down to the manager that signed them, the same as the bad signings. Our form this season is down to both managers and players! We had off the field shit last season and it didnt effect the players so why does it this season?
Our single biggest failure was failing to address the same issue we had since Malky took over......a goalscorer! The amount of money Malky had to spend it was criminal it wasnt addressed! We are creating chances we just have nobody to put them away.

Under Malky we averaged 0.94 points per game in the prem, and we are now at 0.62 with OGS.

I fully agree as to where the responsibility for the mess lies - TAN and only TAN! Anyone who stands up for TAN has there head up their ass.
Sun Feb 23, 2014 11:15 am
Don't forget Dalman... He was the man who had to find a new manager to replace the rightly/wrongly sacked Malky. He should shoulder some of the blame should everything go tits up with OGS.
Sun Feb 23, 2014 11:16 am
you're right, Tan played dreadful - he was out of position and showed no passion at all.

True but you can only compare that when they have had the same amount of games in charge
Ole has had 7 games , within those were man city away , man utd away and swansea away . Not really fair to compare when we has fixtures like that to start .

Craig I believe Annis is referring to the running of the club and the decisions Tan makes and the effect it has on the club, its success, the failings, its debt and its problems.
The owner is the decision maker and when things go well then he wants to take the credit but on the flip side he must shoulder blame if it fails.
The 'Tan' statement released by Lim was an attempt to pass the buck and abolish any blame for failure this season to the owner.
But the owner is responsible for the way the club is run and I don't think anybody can claim to be totally happy with how the club is run this season with so much that has gone on.
Sun Feb 23, 2014 11:19 am
The picture should be clear for all to see.
OGS was the wrong appointment, no pedigree for what was needed, awful in the transfer market. Malky got a few things wrong in the last summer transfer window.
My opinion is that Malky is a good coach.
Tan is a parasite and we are it's host.....remember that pls HOST cos without the fans Cardiff City does not exist!!
Sun Feb 23, 2014 11:21 am
Carl, if in your opinion the owner is responsible for how the club is run - Why so much support for the Lebanese rodent when he was here
He nearly wiped CCFC out

if we are basing this purely on off field issues then of course that is down to the owner, nobody can dispute that.
Annis clearly brings on field issues up, blaming Tan for our league position and in a very subtle way blaming Tan for signing Acorn.

Based purely on off the field activity, inc rebrand, media circus and daft statements then that buck entirely falls with Tan and I dont think you will find anyone who would disagree.

When we got Ole pretty much everyone was happy as Larry. Of course it was the chairman who got him not Tan now it's not gone so well it was Tan. I'm not defending Tan unnecessarily just giving a balanced view. We have enough to have a go at Tan about without creating stuff.

Lots of contradictive information in your post m8 .
The basics are the board provide the money , the managers pick and select players.
Simples

No blame for the players? None whatsoever? No blame for the fans... Pathetic compared to how Palace support their team in a similar position.
Basically we're not good enough for the premier league. People bleat on about Malky, we'll never know... People say we weren't in the bottom three when he left, he would've had to play against Utd, City and Arsenal away, oh! and he also failed to beat West Ham twice earlier in the season... So what evidence was there to say he'd do better.
Is Ole the man, my view is that every manager should be allowed at least one preseason to build his team. Chopping and changing isn't going to work, we need to stick with the manager and give him time.
The other crisis we have is over half our fans have never experienced this situation, I'm a little bemused why the "experienced" fans on here are reacting like they are.
Bottom line the football team we currently have is not good enough and everyone is pulling out their degrees in hindsight. Over 50% of clubs promoted to the Premier League for the first time go straight back down.
Let's support the team we have got, we can do nothing about it anyway.
My team for Sat would be:
Marshall
McNaughton Turner Caulker John
Cala
Noone Mutch Eikrem Daehli
Campbell
Come on support the boys and Ole we can do nothing else!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have supported the club like many for many years and yes seen poor performances and good performances, thats part of football, however the present situation is different in my view .
I cant help feeling the clubs down fall on the field is as a result of off field antics with Mr Tan and his associates . Tan has to take some responsibility as the Parent Owner of the club and we all know what stance he has taken over the last year or so . His interference has contributed to apathy in the club and inevitably will effect performances on the field, as motivation will drop . The relationship he seemed to show to Malky and the fans was not exactly constructive either and has added to the poisenious feeling within the club at this moment . Im not convinces thing will change in his stance in the future either as too much damage has been done in the marriage between CCFC and Tan .
I agree players have under performed and many of the players are simply championship material at best , but this does not explain the lack of passion and desire knowing the club are in the relagation zone , or is there a mentality within the dressing room Sod TAN .......... I dont know , but its evident some this significant is wronge ?
Its heart breaking seeing the club so destroyed and the sooner we get to the route of the problem the better, and sadly in my view we could benefit from being relagated as it will become a reality check to those linked to our club.....

The blame lies with one man.....the manager !!!!!!! The 2 managers have been given the cash so they pick the players and teams, I am sick of hearing the same dribble .......THE MANAGERS PICK THE TEAM NOONE ELSE !!!!???

Who do you blame for the whole current crisis?
Vincent Tan for the way he has handled the Club totally overall.
Memhet Dalaman for the way he handled sacking the last and bringing in the inexperienced Manager simply because hes an ex Manchester United name.Dalaman was quoted as saying he felt he was the " cat who got the cream" & " there was only ever one man for this job"
Simon Lim. Making the Club look totally pathetic with his recent statements.
OGS, being clearly very naive making the statement and belief that he could " change the way and play his way of attacking football out of a relegation battle. Signing the wrong players in the transfer window, Fabio everyone knew was the hopeless brother, the Norway signings were never going to step up to the different level of the Premiership, especially a relegation battle.

Tan without a doubt, he should have let Malky keep us up. Our football wasn't the best but we were disciplined, hard to beat and utd together. Since Malky as gone we've lost our purpose and soul on and off the pitch we're too easy to play against. Tan is sucking the soul out of our club and I've had enough of seeing away teams playing in blue in our stadium
