A forum for all things Cardiff City

There has been mention that we are creating many chances which is better that playing under the old Malky style.
The difference is that in many of the recent games we have created many chances but we are not taking them. For example, against Hull we had 23 attempts and only 5/6 on target. Whereas Hull had 11/12 attempts with the same amount on target but they scored 4.
It is no good creating 100 attempts if we are not going to take any of them. You can see why we are the second lowest scorers in the Division, have the worst record for the numher of games without scoring (15) and the worst shot accuracy.
In recent games (Wigan last week & Hull yesterday), Campbell has had great heading opportunities but he has not hit the target.
In the first half against Sunderland we could have been 7 or 8 goals up but only got a slight lead. Sunderland came back and got the draw. Likewise against Villa & Wigan we created a lot of chances but did not take them. We do not seem to have the quality to take the chances that are on offer.

I agree. The defence is under so much pressure because we cannot bloody score.
The trouble we have had is that Cardiff were one of the favourites to go down.
Malky or OGS were always going to have trouble getting a proven goal scorer.
I for one prefer the type of football we are trying to play. Individual errors are killing us though.
Add to this the fact that we cannot score and you see why we are almost bottom of the league.
