Jinks as you know I would have liked to have kept Malky Mackay but I certainly do not want Ole to fail, if he fails then we fail.
That said I will state now that if we are relegated I don't believe Ole is the manager to lead us in the Championship.

Unless you have a squad full of players like Real Madrid you can't defend like his team currently does even in the championship.

Some might want a "strong man" who can hair dry the players in the wardrobe, but the days are gone when this kind of management was effective. It might have been needed at the time when players entered the pitch stinking of alcohol, but a group of professionals don´t want a leader who doesn´t respect them as individuals. Being a totalitarian manager works as long as the results are good, but in the modern world, he looses the wardrobe the moment the team´s form drops.
If Ole only experience glory as a manager, I would have started getting worried by now. Being able to turn around a negative trend is an art of its own. And Ole showed twice with Molde that we has able to get things right when things were crapping up. In his first season at Molde, his team had a terrible start, but still they managed to win the league. After winning again the year after, Molde had a terrible first half of the season in this third attempt. The second half, they were the best and most winning team, and it was all topped by a great win in the cup.
People might thing that he is too nice for being a manager in the Premier league, but I don´t think the guys at our club is much different from people elsewhere. When this goes wrong, being yelled at doesn´t help a bit. There might not be time enough to rescue us from delegation, but we need to build for the long term if we want to be a stable Premier league club.
And people might wanna sack him because he´s "clueless about tactics". But what part of his tactics do you disagree on? Jones not being able to score 1 to 1 with the goalkeeper is not about tactics. A blind referee is not about tactics. If we were outplayed game after game, I would understand it, but that has not been the case. Wigan had one real chance, and scored two goals. You can blame him for not bringing in a top class striker, but surely he tried. The problem was that the price tags on the strikers we were hunting, were pure stupidity.
I will stand behind Ole. The players will stand behind Ole. And our luck will turn. Just you wait and see.

If he gets his own players in then he may do well. i can see what he's trying to do and that's exciting football but i agree he does need the right players to do that.

Spot on. Half the morons on here want him to fail because they still got Malkys spunk on their lips.
