Strikers

We allowed Maynard to go out on loan as well as Mason. We had 4 weeks to bring in strikers in the transfer window but only managed to bring in Jones and allowed Cornelius to go.

Looking at the game today, what attacking options did we have on the bench to change a game? Very little. With the amount of chances we had today we should have been out of sight. However Jones missed with a header from 3 yards and Campbell put his header over. We are not taking our chances whereas our opposition do. Many of the City players try to complicate matters with an extra pass and are too frightened to shoot. Campbell 10 yards from goal and he did not want to shoot on his left foot.

Cannot see where the goals are going to come from to give us a chance of survival. An extreme lack of firepower in the squad. Why so few striking options at the club?

In comparison, Hull bring in proven experienced Premiership players and go from strength to strength. Jelavic, Long, etc.we could have bought one of those or similar.
