True passion for the club?

Fri Feb 21, 2014 10:29 pm

Gents, I am interested, blue/red aside, do you still feel a genuine passion for CCFC?

Many things have changed in football, player wages etc, Rooney

Would you give your all for the club? do you think the players would? I am a new City fan, and have followed a few other teams, however......

who do you think in the current squad would play for the shirt on his back? or has that gone to be replaced by solely monet seekers?

Interested in opinions........

Im not suprised you have no passion if you swap teams.

Cant for the life of me understand it. I support CCFC and the day I dont is the day football dies. Could never support anybody else.

OK you two, to clear that up......

I left home as an 18yr old as a Rangers supporter, spent 22yrs in the military, watching various local football teams, settled in South Wales and got hooked on CCFC, my local team if you don't like it fook off, I pay my money go to games and have done for the past five years

New fans will never get the passion we had back in the day, not having a dig but that is imo. The passion has gone a little but i think thats just moden football.

the only way how club can grow, and has grown is by new fans coming . personally i welcome that, and yes most of them have got a soft spot for another team..but try reading what you posted.
you admit to supporting a variety of teams and ask about passion.
fans tend to be more passionate and a lot more loyal than players, so it needs to start with our fans.

Left Cardiff towards the back end of the height of Sams era.
Heavy heart and all that.
Have attended a few Hibs games up here but nothing will ever replace my feelings for City.
My priorities are different now as I have a young family.
They're my Passion and my inspiration now.
But I feel no less love for Cardiff City Football Club.

Yes, but not as many as I used too.

I only really got into watching football at 13 on a regular basis, and my dad had taken me to see a few games of Cardiff home and away and I loved the atmosphere. First game I think was like 2003 against Crewe :P but yeah since roughly 2006 I've followed Cardiff properly and I gotta say this season has been the hardest, playing some great teams but also making some mistakes along the way, s'all part of it. I still watch as many games as I can and want us to stay up so much, however regarding your point about passion, if we're looking at it from the atmosphere in the grounds then i'm not sure. Last season I saw our 4-1 win over Blackburn and also the 0-0 against Charlton and that was electric (yay promotion!), but when I went to see Aston Villa it was pretty quiet at times this year, mind you I was sat in the corner of canton but the middle sections sang the whole time :)
