Had thousands of ticket applications for the Arsenal game, these fans are treated with respect by their club and repay that by fully supporting the football club.

We should be looking at these clubs and taking note. It's ruining our game domestically with the price of tickets and owners.

German football is going the right way, world class players that piss all over anything British, Dortmund and Bayern better than anything the prem has to offer yet a season ticket is considerably less than you would pay at a struggling club in the prem. They pay smaller wages yet still attract top stars. Top stadiums that are rammed most weeks... Man city are nowhere near Bayern yet compare them financially and man city should be streets ahead..

Couldnt agree more mate. Hopefully sky will put pressure on PL clubs as atmosphere and attendances droop.
Away ticket prices are especially scandalous.
The difference it makes to a clubs revenue is minuscule yet the difference it makes to your average punter is massive.

The only way ticket prices will be sorted in this country is if fans of ALL clubs stand together and speak with there feet at the same time to make a statement .

Also a wage cap is needed here for players IMO .

There are many things wrong with German football...

For one, financially there gulf between Bayern and all the other clubs is absolutely huge. Whilst TV money is shared, Bayern have a ton of sponsorship deals with Munich based companies which from the outset gives them a huge financial advantage over any club.

This site gives just an insight - http://sponsorpitch.com/properties/454 - but if you were to search more thoroughly in German you could find a lot more details and a lot more deals with local based clubs...

In Germany about half the population despise Bayern Munich and about half support them... At least in the UK we have a few clubs who are all doing well financially, not like Germany where there is one club so far ahead of all others...

Rooney reportedly getting 300,00 a week at united says it all!! How can that be justified. With our country well and truley on its arse, and everyone penny pinching to get by, NO MONEY to help the flood victims and other NHS issues???

It costs me on average around £200 to watch A city away game with my lad, how can us supporters that are on normal wages continue to put up with the price increases from the clubs.

Someone else has already commented that the only way to stop it is by not going to watch our teams.

Maybe something should be organised between all the different clubs forums to stage a one game protest accross the leagues?
Would be great to see it but seriously doubt it could ever be organised! as there are always people there to fill these seats.

Germany are years ahead of us of the pitch with safe standing already in use along with cheap ticket prices including season tickets. This in turn provides some of the best atmospheres in the world at there games accross the country. Dortmund fans have got to be up there with the best in the world!!

I suppose reality is that we just have to except that we fans are not valued as part of the large buissness world the prem has become and the armchair supporter is far more inmportant via there sky package!

Agree with all of your post mate but especially this bit. Fans will only change clubs a bit at a time.
The first step would be to make sky put pressure on clubs to drop ticket prices for away fans. The falling atmosphere at games is making watching games on tv less interesting. If that makes sense!?

It makes perfect sense, and hopefully one day we can make them listen! maybe to start off a petition online to submit to sky??? :ayatollah: :ayatollah:
