Tis level of performance is exactly what we have come to expect, the last 12 months has been dire. Unfortunately for you, Laudrup was sacked prior to your match and you were first in line to be put to the sword.
Monk is everything this club has needed for the best part of a year.

Most important stat is at the bottom of your statistics. Got to take your chances, I think you'll regret my scoring tonight in the second leg.

Certainly is, and what a superb stat it is too.
No away goal conceded meaning any score draw is now also good enough for us to go through.
However the stats above the most important stat show how dominant we were. We were superb throughout.

Dont think we will "regret" not scoring as it isnt something we chose not to do. We did everything we should have done, but our efforts were saved well. Now for the 2nd leg

However the stats above played a major part in why we were not beaten.
The ball is "in play" normally for around 70 mins a match I read somewhere. 69% possession or whatever it was for us tonight, meaning we only gave Napoli the ball for 21 mins in total of the match. Thats significant. When we had it, we were dangerous as the shots and shots on target tell you. When they had it we snuffed them out pretty well with them only managing 1 shot on target which came in the first 5 mins of the match.
There is no way we will "rue" those chances. Its not as if we missed open goals, their keeper did well.

but that has no baring on how well we played today, which is what is being discussed. And we played extremely well.
As i said we wont "rue" the missed chances as there isn't really much we could do otherwise. Their keeper played well and made some decent stops.
To rue something - means you would regret something. Regretting something - means you did something wrong. We did nothing wrong tonight.

To rue something would suggest we should have done better. I dont think we "should" have done better in any of the situations we were in tonight.

Each chance was executed as well as expected and they were superbly stopped on occasions by their keeper(s). As a result, to rue any chance would be to rue the ability of the opposition - which i dont think anybody really does... Do they?

So Ashley Williams' chance first half headed over the bar was the best he could have done? Come on ffshe had his head in his hands! Chico had a free header too from a De Guzman free kick, he looks at the linesman expecting a flag, that's how poor he executed it. He was disappointed with his attempt.
You can't argue that seriously.

I didn't expect him to score, put it that way. If it had been Bony then yes. Ashley Williams hasnt scored for years for a reason.
De Guzman had a free kick from 25 yards and missed. So what? Are you seriouswho in their right minds EXPECTS to score 25 yard free kicks?
To rue a chance would be to expect to score. There is no chance we had tonight where I "expected" to score or felt hard done by that we didnt. The keeper pulled off some good saves and the rest were decent efforts.

I dont know why you are bothering because you are talking nonsense thats why.
I can quite categorically tell you that no Swansea fan and probably no Swansea player will look back at tonight and "rue" anything, regardless of the result in Italy.
Superb performance, superb result, superb night for Welsh sport.

alright roathy, ill take that as a strange form of acceptance that you mis-read what I said.
Yes you played well, got a clean sheet, had good stats except for putting away some chances that you may rue after the second leg. I'm just putting myself in your shoes if it was Cardiff. Good luck.

Whether I misread that exact point or not is irrelevant, the point is the same. You are saying we will rue tonight, im telling you that the notion is ridiculous.![]()
But yes I agree, great performance and great result.
