Looking at the photos and threads about the introduction of blue at the St David's centre shop has made me wonder. For those fans who refuse to buy/wear red If we were to go back to blue would you still refuse to wear anything without the correct badge or would you forfeit the badge for the sake of blue. I have to ask as I see so Many threads on colour but not the badge. For me they both go hand in hand and I would not buy any blue without the correct badge.

For me he colour is far more important than the badge. But it's one of those things everyone's going to be divided on colour, badge or both.
Given the choice between the two if rather play in blue with a crappy badge.

The BLUE is everything to me, but I still wont buy anything with that despicable badge on. I will buy any BLUE with without it on, I wouldnt buy Sams stuff with his badge on either.

I just do not know.
The change back to blue is the main thing as the badge has changed more than once in my years following this club.
I could probably accept the badge in exchange for the colour change although in an ideal world etc.
In all honesty it would probably boil down to how I felt on seeing it for the first time.

I would not buy anything blue with the current badge on it
The bluebird on it is a token after thought

I believe that we will go back to Blue one day but I really hope the fans don't see this as the fight being over. The Badge simply has to return to complete the pride/identity restoration. I have to admitat this point in time I'd accept Sams badge at the drop of a hat.

It would look a bit like the 3rd kit i'd imagine.

The fight back has only really just began in my eyes. I'm not sure if this is not just a PR stunt,as the season tickets sales for next season so far are diabolical.

I don't like the red and I don't like the badge.
Before I bought anything to wear it would have to be a change of both

Additionally in the event of being returned to Blue how could fans protest for the re introduction of the badge? Obviously people wearing blue at games today is a visual protest which wouldn't work with a badge. Stewards are removing banners at the ground and protest marches are few and far between at present and I just dont see a desire for marches on the badge if we went back to blue. This would be a tough battle. Thats why I think it is important with any current protests that it is not solely about the colour as the badge is just as important.

But which one is the correct badge as we've had many

To be honest the colour of the strip has never bothered me....if i could change anything it would be the badge. My personal choice would just be a bluebird.....like many city fans tattoos

Badge for me. Have reluctantly accepted colour but have always said the badge made me more annoyed and if the bluebird went or nickname then i would to.

Been supporting city since 1968 (first game against Hamburg) can never accept the colour or badge

BnB Blue and the Bluebird!

Personally the Badge is far more important.
It's the Crest of the Club.
It's used to identify the club on so many levels of media.
Both should return though.

The badge doesn't bother me that much in all honesty, I only hate the red, which is why I continue to buy the blue shirt every season.
Badges change at all clubs, but club colours should always remain the same.

Would not buy if it had the beermat badge on .

Blue all the way for me but without tans badge!! I know I designed a badge but only in protest to tans badge and as a compromise. The original badge is the winner for me and always will be.
Fri Feb 21, 2014 10:25 am
of course the badge is as important but first we need to be blue again....that should be the priority
Fri Feb 21, 2014 11:06 am
Karl your badge is better than Tans and Sams version.
But nothing compares to the true crest.
Fri Feb 21, 2014 11:11 am
Would prefer my avatar as a shirt badge going forward and

As a club badge, similar to Liverpool.

I would never buy anything with the current badge on it, it is an insult! The design is atrocious and the bluebird an afterthought.
The big thing for me is returning to blue but I would also want either a return to the old crest, or I would be willing to accept a compromise ! Some of the ones on here were brilliant. It was a huge PR own goal for the club when they did the rebrand. The badge they designed was cheap and tacky, with little to no effort made. If they had engaged the fans, and agreed on a well designed compromise, it might have helped quell some of the protests.

these 3 go hand in hand for me:
- colour
- badge
- name
