' Blue scarfs at home games ' Idea

Wed Feb 19, 2014 7:10 pm

I have seen thousands of supporters wearing Blue scarfs at city games recently.for every home game from now until May, when Ali plays Men of Harlech, please hold up your scarf and keep it up high for when the players walk out also. We have to keep showing Tan that we ARE blue.

Starting with Hull City home this Saturday :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

The scarfe MOH is a great idea. I've also discovered an ancient Leckwith Moors bylaw that legally requires that anyone caught using a vuvuzela to have it forcibly shoved up their arse.

Is a good idea but unfortunately people on this thread are never going to get as much support as they could by calling supporters pricks just because they wear red. A lot of these are youngsters who don't understand history etc. and just want to wearwhatever colour the team wears. Even if the parent wears blue, he's going to be reluctant to join in knowing that his kid has been insulted by some of his fellow supporters just because he's wearing the same shirt as his hero on the pitch.

Have you seen the amount of older supported who wear the red shirt? Not just the younger fans at all. I've even seen older fans on here saying they support red because that's what colour the team wears

It's not the little kids that are being called pricks. They don't understand or know any better. It's the older red fans that are getting the stick. The ones that should care about our identity but clearly don't.

Agree, its not just younger supporters, I used that as an example as to why it doesn't help anyone other than Tan if supporters are constantly slagging each other off. I personally would never wear red as I have supported the club for 45 years or so, always wearing blue. I choose not to give abusive insults to people who do not agree with my opinion or beliefs, because that's all it is, my personal opinion. Everyone is entitled to wear whatever they choose to wear, and we will never be united with all the abuse being thrown around. I just think it makes supporters more likely to dig their heels in, and they will never come round to our way of thinking if all we do is insult them. If we hope to persuade even a small amount to change, they may do the same with others, and so on. We need to put our views across in a sensible way, and not resort to abuse every time someone doesn't have the same values as us, and rise above any abuse that comes our way from pro reds.
