Not surprised. I've always said what a huge mistake it was letting him go. We could have done with him last Saturday and he will keep scoring goals for Wigan.

Yes - in the Championship.

Malky signed him, so he's shit. Malky never signed a good striker :old:

Goals from Nicky Maynard and Martyn Waghorn were enough for the Latics as they brushed aside the Yorkshire outfit at the DW Stadium.

Great. Hopefully we can get a million or two for him in the Summer

Good for him and keep him up, never deserved a chance here in the Prem. It was clear to see he let himself go.

Yet people use the fact that Rudy has scored a few in a championship as a reason for us keeping him. :laughing6: One rule for some players, one for others.

Maynard is one of those to-to players. Not quite good enough for prem, excellent in championship.

   I think people wanted us to keep Rudy in terms of physical presence but fully agree re the last part, he got soldas soon as West Ham got promoted, I don't think we should have ever started the season with him in our ranks, we needed a striker that was pacey but clinical, Campbell has done okay but felt we needed another

I think it's a mistake letting Maynard go he is the best person to play alongside campbell, he hasn't had a chance with malky favouring one up front and being campbell as first choice,

I'd rather see Maynard up front any day of the week to kenqynne jones, he's quicker lively and goes to show he can score,,

Look at noone he didn't get a look in for first 8 games now he's one of the first names on the team sheet

In the championship people say? That's the same division as jordon Rhodes is playing in and everybody says we should signing. Maynard got unlucky with the cruciate injury and when he did get back city were playing long ball football with 1 up front, which doesn't suit his game.

I thought Maynard was playing really well before he had that nasty injury. I like him as a player and was surprised when we let him go. Would be a great squad option and has the potential to make a difference if bought on :ayatollah:

Our fans are funny ones.

Lets bring back Rudy and Maynard and play them in the prem  They are getting goals in the championship so must be up to it.

Maynard is by far a better finisher than Campbell and will always score goals, Cambell has more pace though so defenders hate it as he is always chasing them down

I'm afraid he hasn't shown that this season, which is why Campbell is playing week in week out & Maynard farmed back to championship.

Has anyone noticed the weight Maynard has put on.
