fair play :ayatollah: we can hardly get a f*cking bottle of coke into the ground, let alone a flag like that! and when someone does get a protest flag in, the army of stewards come after you

Truth is football support in this country is gone to the dogs.Little or no atmosphere,no singing, not much banter between fans, over zealous stewards ruining the match day experience. All in all what used to be the highlight of the week is turning into a chore.

Ajax fans are one of the best in Europe.
Having said that, most European clubs seem to do what they want with no hassle from stewards or police.
We need some sort of leniency from stewards/police in this country.
Its beyond a joke, i honestly cannot think of more than 3 grounds in the country that have good atmospheres.
Don't even compare it to Germany, Greece, Turkey, Poland, Ukraine, Holland etc, they show the whole country up in honesty.

Fans in Europe on times are well behaved in the ground and manage to create an atmo without no silliness of fighting *Some teams in Europe*.

Agree with Dando. There is a big difference between creating a good atmosphere and being intimidatory. Too many uk fans just loose the plot if given the opportunity.

That's true but having said that, European fans seem to be a lot worse than fans in the UK. i know Galataseray, fenerbache, napoli and other teams like that are extreme examples but most European clubs become idiots with flares and fireworks when things don't go their way.
I think the one major difference between UK and European fans are that it seems like they enjoy their match day experience whereas as most UK fans don't seem to (Not just dependent on the result)

Some well made points lewis91. Perhaps some uk fans don't enjoy the experience cos. they are too drunk to remember.
