I may be moving up to London in September and don't know whether to renew my season ticket or not
I will be able to come back for about 70% of home games but obviously not all of them
Does anyone else live far away and have a season ticket?
I'd so do you have agreements with people to but your tickets for certain games?
Basically any advice on this would be appreciated

There's a good few of the old guard in what remains of the 1927 Club still kocking about. The younger chaps have set up a new club with the full agreement of the guardian bed wetters. There is a message board for those that are looking for lifts down to games, cheapish train tickets and tickets! There's no "official" organisation as most of us walked away from the left wing socialist crap but there's still a few of us.
I don't have the link on this as I live in a diferent country and work in several country's so it's difficult to give you the IP address. Most of the good guys here know it

We live in the northwest now and are both st holders. Renewed last season to guarantee tickets for away games after watching Cardiff for years in the lower leagues. We do around 50% of home games and about 70% of aways, (nearer than home matches) and the buy back option makes it more viable too. Would be better if the club did an away st but that will never happen. Is it worth renewing for possibly championship football ?, prob not for most people but no doubt we will take the 10 month payment option whatever league we are in. Depends on your circumstances I suppose.

Nah! Now that you come to mention it I think I still had a valid season ticket for the Canton Stand at Ninian Park when I left Wales in 1974, and I probably thought I'd go back sometimes - I hadn't missed a home game for maybe 5 years. Thing is though that I never did.
Life moves on and unless there's something wrong with you you'll be too busy with other stuff. You might find that you always check the Cardiff results from round the world and tell your grandchildren about the day they beat Real Madrid or scored 7 against Mjondallen or when Wharboys replaced Toshack and scored the fastest ever hat trick on his debut, but don't actually go back. Never go back.
I might come back one day, but certainly not while they're playing in red shirts. Btw, why the xxxx would you wear black shorts with red shirts? What next- green socks ?

I'm in East London and have had a ST for a few years, I get to about 50 % both home and away! train fare will knock you back about £60, sometimes I drive down which costs about the same in petrol. I usually leave my ticket with mates in Cardiff so they can use it or sell it on when I don't go, although believe it or not sometimes you can't give it away even in the Premier!

It costs me next to nothing to drive down as I have a company fuel card

i`d love so see a bus travel down the M6 on a match day to Cardiff, picking up exiled fans at junction slip roads , even just once a season

I live in north London & have an ST and i've struggled to get home for many games this year. Think over the whole season I will make 8/9 home games.
Going back for Hull this weekend and the train is £50 return give or take a few ££ - so expensive and driving is pretty much the same cost.
By the end of the year though i will have been to all of the London clubaway games.
Not sure if i'm renewing yet, partly due to travel & cost of travel but also the price of the damn ticket itself, I've way less disposible income since moving up here due to rent!

If you can get 4or more of you going by train you can get a group saver I think. booking it a couple of months in advance its cheaper as well.
