Short Corners

Sun Feb 16, 2014 12:17 pm

One of our strengths this season has been from set pieces with Caulker, Turner, etc in the air.

So why all of a sudden do we need to be taking short corners all of the time. Yesterday for example, there were occasions when we did this and gave the ball away. Another wasted attacking opportunity. You do not score out in the corner! If the ball is not in the box you do not score.

We passed the ball aimlessly yesterday either sideways or backwards so why do we want to pass anymore out on the corner flag? I have not seen any benefits so what is the point. We did not generate betting crises into the box because most of the time we lost the ball and didn't get it into the danger area. It must have been frustrating for Caulker & Cala to run up for the corner only to run back after the ball had been lost in the corner.

I think they are a waste off time especially when both our CB are up! :sleepy2: Anyone agree or not? :ayatollah:
