A United Front... City v Hull?

Sun Feb 16, 2014 10:48 am

The next home game against Hull could be seen as something of a showpiece - mainly for the reason that you've got two sets of fans who aren't happy with the state of their clubs.

Putting our relegation worries aside, I think it's the perfect platform for a one game protest against the state of our clubs. Both sets of fans singing and chanting along the lines that we want our identity back.

Yes, we need the three points and it's a must win game for us. There's a good argument for getting behind the team with no distractions. But then, every game since Christmas has been a must win game for us. One game (and it's the ideal setting) where both home and away fans chant in protest could make quite a statement, in front of the world's media. The longer term is surely more important?

Opinions? I'd be interested to hear what people think of this. I'm not interested in abuse though, so keep your venom to yourselves...

Would love us to sing to them "Your City till you die"

In return they could sing "Your Cardiff City, you will always be blue".

Another song we could sing is "Allam being mauled by the Tigers" but that is a bit too close to home for me. Those who know me will understand.

Exactly the kind of thing I'm talking about, that - just using this one highly relevant game in front of the media to make a bit of noise.

Yes, there's the BU movement, yes, people can argue we should have been more vocal about this from the start.

But the Hull game is an ideal opportunity to express our feelings as City fans...

We do, but everyone's been saying that since before Malky was sacked. We could win vs Hull and still go down.

For me, it's a good opportunity for the two clubs to come together on the match day and make a racket in support of tradition and identity.
