Watching Birmingham on the Football League Show

Sun Feb 16, 2014 12:12 am

Empty stadium, no real passion, being beaten by Huddersfield, that's how shit it gets just dropping one division, all those who want to get relegated just to get the identity back, then think long and hard what you wish for, as that club is in dire trouble and has all sorts of problems. The reality is, if they were in the Premiership the ground would be full, no matter what Dick was in control of the club  That's what it is, The Premiership is now all that matters

Summed it up in one paragraph. They protest a fair bit, heck did today. Look what it does, f**k ALL. Even if we did try to protest with the rebrand, Tan would have went through with it, protests mean nothing over here in this day and age. It's just not in the British culture anymore. Deluded people who want the Championship back need to look to Birmingham, League Cup Champions a few years back, now scabbing off the best youths they can find.

I'd much rather be in the Championship in blue losing to Huddersfield than be in the Premier League in red.

If the premiership is all that matters, I suggest you find a new club to support.

Ironic that you point out that Brum have dire problems, yet fail to point out our own.

Ask any Brum fan "bluenose" if they would swap positions? I'm pretty sure most wouldn't.

I can't believe that any Cardiff fan would say the premiership is all that matters?! Why the hell are you supporting Cardiff if that's the case?!

I started following City as a youngster in the mid 90s & I never dreamed of us reaching the premiership.

What should be a season of celebration & dreams, is a nightmare. We are playing in an alien strip, with a lunatic owner intent on dragging the name of the club through the mud, fanbase is totally split & he club no longer feel like the club I supported as a kid. Added to that, the lunatic is plunging us Deeper into debt.

If that's what the premiership costs, you can shove it.

Alex,

Like I said he's a weirdo, he really is , one of those out and out loners who has nothing in life and clings to a little something in Wales because that's all he's got ..... They run him off CCMB because of his very odd ways shall we say in a polite manner.

I wouldn't take much notice of the Fred West wannabe .

Hello Mate, totally agree with you as normal , good luck with our " troubles " and fully respect your stance and agree regards your " red garbage " comment.

The post was made By a very strange weird character in this instance, a loner of life , no bird , no kids , and a grass. Stalks and obsess being his nature.

Fruit loop type - got dispelled by CCMB and the rat ended up here , wrote to Annis for permission announcing his arrival prior , again strange actions for just writing on a football forum hey, but probably made him feel better after his behaviour and grassing antics.

Unfortunately and of course it's breeding in Wales that Premiership football Is the be all and end all of a football Club. Not by so many good old fans , mainly newer fans who jumped on the Sam Hammam glory train and after, to them it was all about glory and premiership football whatever colour or branding.

 steve ,im all for progress.things change.sometimes they have to.like the hooligan days had to end .common sense.a rebrand is a change too far then to brag about it? .embarrassing .from what iv heard/read a lot of your fans are ok with going to the olympic stadiam.if that,s the case then it,s a good move.better access ,easier ticket purchases.it,s a deal that should benefit ALL.there is a long term stratergy with it.progression doesnt have to mean a loss of identity

The full horror of the 're-brand' hit me when we played Birmingham City home, early last season. They played in blue against us, at our ground! It was good to see Burkie again, though :ayatollah:

Then, on New Year's Day 2013 we went to St Andrew's. I was with my niece, and she said 'nice stadium'. Again, to see a totally blue ground, with the Blues playing in, er, blue, brought it home again.

Same happened against Leicester City. You get the drift!

Anybody who thinks that this pantomime season in the Premier League is worth everything that has happened to our club over the last two years, well, they just don't 'get' CCFC. Sorry, but true.

I would give an arm and a leg to be where BCFC are. KRO!

I've supported the Mighty West Ham since the age of my first game at 3/4 years old. I'm international my friend. I'm not a small minded bigot that burns down holiday homes. I leave that to the likes of you. The OP troubles go a lot deeper than football.
