Today convinced me....

Sat Feb 15, 2014 10:50 pm

That if I had the choice of going down down to the Championship with a new owner and reverting to blue, playing in front of 17/18 k who want to SUPPORT the team or staying in the Prem under our current regime?
It would be the first without question.
I've never been too vociferous against Tan & his mob, but this weeks comments whether they're right or wrong were the final straw for me. What good was all the negative publicity ever going to achieve?
I completely understand the frustration over such a waste in our budget, but it's just another kick in the guts for the fans really, constantly hearing people slating our club.
My ST is in Family stand, but I went in Canton today to check it out, moved to Ninian for 2nd half, it's clearly evident that most fans are severely beaten up, very little passion on display.
Tan has split the club, messed with the fans heads, for what reason?
It's not the club I fell in love with, we should be enjoying our season in the Premiership, win, lose or draw even if it meant relegation. The pantomime has spoilt everything !

Tan is in this for the money lads, nothing more nothing less, why if we do get relegated, would he sell up?,he'd clearly lose out financially ,so those of you who are actually thinking, that relegation means a return to blue and very wrong, tan don't give a f**k,I actually think he enjoys winding cardiff fans up with the rebrand, for the fans who actually wear red or buy anything relating to the red,I pity you

He can get all his money back upon relegation as I've highlighted in a few threads already. It makes no sense to stay, the club is a financial black hole. The club has not made anywhere close to a profit any financial year, in fact on average it loses £20m a year. Selling up when he can get all his money back is the ONLY sensible option.

However the rebrand was created in order to sell the club or attract investment from the asian market... Assuming he sells, then it will in all likelyhood be to someone he has targeted by turning the club red. So the chances of the new owner turning the nice red club he bought to blue is slim to none.

I've come to terms that going down is better for the club in general.

This is a shambles.

I've tried to sit on the fence, but the past weeks events have convinced me, Tan strives for publicity even if it's all negative. When we used to get 10/12 k and were fighting to stay in the Championship, virtually everybody talked football pre game, HT and post game. As I stated in my OP, I mingled in parts of the ground I hadn't been before yesterday, fans are at the end of their tether & that's not right.
I support Cardiff City, we're in the Premiership and I'm finding almost impossible to enjoy the experience, that can't be right? :old:

Come on talk sense, the value of the club would drop dramatically if we got relegated,so it's in tans best interests to sell us as a premiership club, yes if relegated he can strip the club of all its assests, but that would only devalue it more to any interested parties

Spot on and agree with your sentiments wholeheartedly. Crap owner is however nothing new at Cardiff City, in fact in the past this is something that has both galvanised and united our fan base, but this is different. I write this while Everton play out on my tv screen. A proud club who know who they are and where they're going where even a slight change to their badge prompted an apology from the board and a consultation process with the fans. We can but dream. Ours is a club where even when fans voted for white shorts they decide in black anyway.
