Anyone Watching The UFC Tonight?

Sat Feb 15, 2014 6:13 pm

Not many big names fighting in the UFC tonight, but events held in Brazil are always action packed and entertaining!

Who's watching it? Fights start at around 11pm on BT Sport.

I can't wait

I checked the tip site out last time, 3 out of 4 tips won, I didn't bet but good tips will be using in the future.

It's not the best event to bet on to be honest mate as the event consists of two types of match up's...

1. Fights that are complete mismatches, which means the odds are ridiculously low on the fighter with the best chance of winning.

2. Fights consisting of new or inconsistent fighters, which makes the outcomes hard to predict.

I use performance metrics to put the tips together, so if the metrics aren't conclusive I won't place bets for the sake of it.

As a result I've only got a few tonight, but they are about as nailed on as it gets:

Lyoto Machida to win at 1.44 | 2/5
Lyoto Machida to win by knock out or TKO at 3.10 | 21/10
Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza to win at 1.30 | 3/10

You can checkout the full reasoning behind the bets here:

http://www.mmabettingtips.com

Should be a great event due to the amount of Brazilian fighters on the card. They fight crazy in front of their own fans!!!

I record them and watch them later in the week. The dragon has been going for donkeys years. Bags of experience. I'm quite often betting on fights with mostly success so I'll be happy to take a look at your site mate! :ayatollah:

Cheers mate, appreciate that.

I genuinely believe that Lyoto Machida is one of the best fighters on the planet. He's only ever lost against top level guys and people forget that he has been competing out of his natural weight class for almost all of his career.

Now that he is fighting at Middleweight, he will be unstoppable.

I can't wait to see him fight, there's always an extra edge to him when he competes in Brazil!

Agree that Lyoto is world class. Also agree that now he's down at middleweight he will be even more of a beast. Will try and watch it in the morning, on too late for me fella!

For some reason BT Sport aren't showing the early fights.

They are live now and you can watch them for free on UFC TV...

Hi mate,

Level stakes will return a profit, but you're better off going for:

2 units on Machida to win.
1 unit on Jacare to win.
0.50 units on Machida to win by knockout.

Ok thanks, ill paper trade it first and see what kind of results I get. I know nothing about UFC.

A unit will represent £100 for me.

£200 on Machida - 1.45 (best odds on oddschecker)
£100 on Jacare - 1.2 (best odds on oddschecker)
£50 on Machida knock out - 3.8 (best odds on oddschecker)

Best of luck all.

Okay just checking the results...

-If we bet level stakes at £100 a bet: we would be £35 down after £300 worth of bets tonight.

-If we did the "point system" we would be £60 up after £350 worth of bets tonight.

Equivalent to the whole sum placed on a 1/7 bet or 15% ROI.

I will keep an eye on it week after week. If you can get the Return On Investment higher then ill probably follow you in.

It would need to be around the 40% mark on average id say, tonight it was +14% or -14% depending on how people bet regarding level stakes or point system.

2 out of 3 is good strike rate though. :thumbright:

It's never going to be anywhere near 40%. 40% is a ridiculously high ROI for pro betting. Surely you must know this? So why say it?

Although it will be higher than 15%, this event was a particularly bad one to bet on.

Next week's UFC 170 will be a lot better!

43% is what I achieved on tennis alone this year and it wasnt a particularly spectacular one (well January 2013 to November 2014). Previous year was slightly higher again. I dont think 40% is an impossible figure at all. I used to be a pro poker player and gave that up as my ROI was only 20%. Same with my companies. I used to rent my houses but was only getting 6% ROI yearly yield, i started selling them and was making more like 60% ROI.

Id expect 35%-40% average yield on a sport I was an expert on.

Im not knocking you, a profit is a profit. but in order for it to be worth MY while following you then the level stakes ROI will have to be significantly higher.

Congratulations mate.

You are a beast if you are pulling 40% ROI on Tennis.

What was your ROI on Poker?

Did you play Cash Games or Tournaments?

I always felt like I'd just need one big Tourny win to set me up for a decent career playing Poker, but it never happened!

I used to play the Pokerstars Sunday million every week!

40% is average, its been as high as 60%.

No never played cash, too dangerous. just STT's and the odd MTT. Won a fair few tournaments and a few holidays but it was very time consuming. My ROI fluctuated between 15% and 20%. Mainly did it to put me through uni.

I played on betfair mainly but won my holidays on GoalPoker who have since gone bust. Was pretty awesome though, 20 winners on a private beach in Ibiza with 30 Maxim models playing poker with Beppe DiMarco from Eastenders watching the World Cup final. Bizarre thinking back :laughing6:

I know nothing on UFC and dont often look at tipsters but i will keep an eye on your progress for sure.
