And then failed miserably in sufficiently improving the squad.

We were never in the bottom 3 and if left alone would of prob ended up just below middle in the league. Everyone said, the first season all they wanted was to stay up. Be interesting now what happens.

You need an eye test. Malky's football was taking us down. I've got a voucher here for a free eye test and a nice pair of Gucci rose tinted spectacles. Swansea and West Ham aside, a game we could and should have won, all the results so far have gone as expected. Takes a long time to polish a turd. You can thank Malky for leaving that behind.

You keep saying we were never in the bottom 3 yet we were in freefall under Malky and had a tough set of fixtures to come if he stayed, We were lucky to have one shot on target a game under him if we were lucky. We were doomed under him and I cant believe you cant see that.

alfie,of course tan nneds to discredit malky.otherwise was there decent grounds for dismissal just on footballing issues?young manager struggles at wrong end of the table with newly promoted team shock  cast a dim light on a signing that didnt work out and hey ho we have a theory.the league managers union seem to think mm is on solid ground.i wish someone would bump a thread about acorns signing then we can see who was leading the backslapping about this kid who had europe at his feet but chose ccfc.no doubt the same people who are trying to diss malky.acorn was heralded as a marquee signing by some on here.

Too many City fans seem intent on rewriting history. I can only think that they are swallowing Tan's propaganda.

I have no particular allegiance to Malky but he did an incredible job at Cardiff City. That really is a fact.

Can't agree, I would have sacked MAlky if it was my business, the amount he agreed to pay beggars belief, yes Lim signed it off but it was MAlkys player. Have to question did MAlky/moody ever watch him play. All the talk about him being a player for future is a p take on club/fans, MAlky knew he had to build a team for now. Yes MAlky got us promoted and should be applauded, but he failed this season. If MAlky had still been in charge in January we still would of been in bottom 3 with the fixtures we had.

Tan and his fellow rodents are really beginning to show their teeth now. Dont ever forget they come from a Country that runs on corruption and back stabbing. When you are as wealthy as they are, people like us are disposable to some extent and the last thing they are worried about is ruining a young Managers career and now they are down to "looking in dustbins" to find all the dirt that is at the bottom!. I dont think they would let the truth get in the way of a good character assassination.

They are a bunch of lowlifes who I wouldn't buy a secondhand car off.
Sooner they desert this rapidly sinking ship the better.

you have no doubt that Malky bought this boy in good faith with total belief he was a prem class striker...????????
there is either something very very wrong with this deal...OR
Malky and Moody had absolutely no idea how to judge a striker..
either way..they had to go..
btw..this board had 10 threads a day about how poor this boy was.....its not Tans fault he was poor..

Or Cornelius is a talented boy, as his record in Denmark would suggest, but he got unlucky with an early injury that was hardly helpful in his adjustment to a new club and country and as a consequence lost form and confidence. It happens all the time.

It's hardly rocket science.

Of course it's bizarre.

I get the feeling that Tan would rather take a hefty financial hit than wait for the lad to come good just so that he can score a few pathetic points over Malky Mackay, ahead of what will be a bitter and public legal battle.

EVERY Cardiff fan wanted this boy to work out............he wasnt good enough im afraid

and i dont really see what Tan gains out of Cornelius going back..playing well.scoring goals..all be it in denmark, when he could be sat oon the bench for the development side, surely the later would make far more of a point if thats what he wanted

I dont doubt that for a minute Alfie.

I still think Cornelius wasn't given enough time.

A kid who moved to a new country, new culture, food, training methods, don't know if any family or friends came with him, injured early on, people criticising him early on, Tan probably making life uncomfortable with the bubbling resentment about Malky's transfer dealings.

The start he made was comparable to Anleka and Diego Forlan when they moved to the UK. 11 games (and partial appearances) is simply not enough to judge, despite all the "he clearly isn't up to it" comments.

A £8.5 Million mistake, I'm not knocking Malky overall he did an excellent job and was a good solid Manager, and a good man IMO, but unfortunately this was an expensive mistake...

.....completely agree
MM made quite a few mistakes and a young relatively untried footballer was. Ot the right call. But he may wel be proved righ and AC could have been one for the future. By selling him back at a fraction of we paid we may have compounded the error. Very odd that we should probably have loaned him back.

I'm sorry but Anelka and Forlan are completely different class to this kid. I still believe he might have a chance in the future but he certainly wasn't ready for the Prem let alone shouldn't be paid 45k a week
