According to Henry Winter
Would like to be a fly on the wall for that one
He (Scudamore) has also said of the PL and foreign owners today ' there is a huge association with it being quintessentially english. The overseas owners buy into that. They are buying something very authentic that has been here since 1888.'
Obviously we replace English with welsh in our instance but there is a nod to a belief in the history of PL clubs and their identities being a major selling point when it comes to marketing the league worldwide.
If that really is the case then what has happened to us becomes a major concern regardless of where we play next year because we have become the bench mark, the lab rat if you like.
Opposing fans mock us but deep down there has to linger a fear that their club could be next. We're already seeing it at Hull.
If the PL is the marketplace then every owner will want their product to be marketable up against the others in pursuit of top ten status. Catchy names, new colours, badges names etc will inevitably come to the fore at most ill advised ill informed meetings.
Maybe he is concerned ? Maybe not but
where hope still lingers I'm willing to cling on to it.

"Spoken to Tan"
Aye he has said show me the money and you can do whatever the f**k you want!

The funny thing is, he has destroyed cardiff main selling point, the brand.
Whenever people hear cardiff city now, they instantly think cheap and commercialised.
The rebrand has probably cost him money.

Yeah, like he talked to the Glazers who then proceeded to burden nearly a billion pounds of debt on a previously debt-free club like Manchester United
You couldn't make it up - this is so pathetic it is embarrassing. I love us being in the EPL but I have absolutely no illusions that it is dog eat dog out there, and the EPL themselves are the biggest and nastiest dog on the park.
Wasters - in fact, worse than bankers

Scudamore is Chief Exec' of the Premier League so he wouldn't have been as interested 18 months ago.
Still too late for anyone to 'speak' to Tan though

Scudmore has basically said that Cardiff City is not so much of an issue because alot of the fans accepted it whilst the main issue is with Hull as their fans are rejecting the notion of a name change. So there you have it it's because our fans roll over we have the issue.

I was not aware myself that he had taken this stance but if that is how they see things then yes, we really are on our own. The Hull owner seems keen to portray those who oppose his plans as a hooligan minority so will be interesting to see how it plays out.

The EPL was designed to be a money making machine and its succeed....
The only worry for the FA/EPL is registering the "Tigers" name change which involves a decision......And we know they won't like that. Changing kit colour and badge is blissfully nothing to do with them
