Henllys I'd say is the nicest place, depends in your definition of nice it's quiet good walks if you've got dogs lots of new and old houses.

I'm from Cwmbran. Some areas are ok, Ty Canol is nice as is Henllys. Pontydrun is nice but avoid Thornhill that's where I'm from, was nice nice in the 80's but has gone downhill since I left home.

Wife was born and raised in Cwmbran. Best areas are Llanyravon by the boating lake and Llanfrechfa. One of the best aspects is the safety and easy access to the M4 (5 minute drive)

Ty Canol, Henllys, Llanfrechfa, parts of Croesyceiliog. I lived in Thornhill for years as a kid and it's proper rough now - like Merthyr, Mr Brown...
