Telemarketing / Getting Appointments

Is there anyone on here who runs or is involved in the above.

Basically I have a contact who would like to get himself booked in to speak with as many Solicitors and Insurers as possible

He offers a Nationwide Service. He feels that he is able to sell his companies product, once he is in the door, the problem he has is actually "getting in the door".

Why can't he do it himself? What type of service is it? Is it unique or is it something anyone can do? If it's unique then it should sell itself and he should be shouting it from the ceilings and people will listen. If it's something many others do as well and he can't talk the talk then a new career change for him
