Turner has deserved criticism for his last 5/6 performances he's been awful .

Tonight he showed he is capable of doing it with a mainly fantastic performance ( he let benteke get in front of him twice ) , now he needs to do it consistently if he wants to be a premier league player .

Tonight only emphasises the problem with Turner as far as I'm concerned! He's too inconsistent! Absolute pile of shite most days, man of the match occasionally.....That's not what you need at this level!

He put in a huge shift tonight and even managed one decent pass

Goes to show that defensively he is defiantly good enough for this league - he just needs to learn to be more comfortable with the ball at his feet and improve his distribution

I don't think anybody has ever criticised the effort he puts in during games , though . I've never seen him have a lazy game he always seems to give 100% in all fairness

Because of the formation tonight, Turner wasn't 'distributing' the ball as much as usual and so that didn't really show him up. He's at his best when he's defending like an old fashioned centre half, like tonight.

Yes I would have defended him if I thought that he had been unfairly singled out. What I don't do is post childish threads having cheap shots at players who give 100% when they play for City.

And as for my age, I can assure you that I have supported City for long enough to know when a player is being unfairly singled out, and long enough to appreciate the quality of the players that we are now watching. They deserve better than some of the fans on here who have lost all perspective.
