I second that, tonight Turner was immense. Scotlands number 1 completed a solid back line for us. Well done Ben

Noone first half, Turner unquestionably second half. An immense performance by him when our backs were against the wall - and his distribution was good.

Said on another thread thought Ben turner was absolutely immense
Got slated hugely for the Swansea match and made a scapegoat for a gutless team performance overall
Got back on the horse today and showed why he was such a highly rated player a few years ago
He was everywhere in defense made numerous blocks crunching tackles covered for John and caulker on numerous occasions and although slower than both benteke and agbonlahor his positions was so good the pace didn't matter
Absolute superb performance easily man of the match bar Marshall's wonder saves second half!!

Think you've been a bit harsh. Yes he made some wrong decisions but he also created some of our best chances in the three games he has played. He's not match fit and he's inexperienced at this level but he may just be the supply line we need if we continue to play two upfront - his pass for Bellamys goal against Norwich was sublime. Cut him a bit of slack as he has had his confidence destroyed by Moyes.

Maybe a little harsh but he's very naive pal, basic coaching at young ages tells you not to pass in your own box or try and take people on in your own half it's suicidal
He will get better no doubt but we can't afford mistakes like these in our position
Pretty sure the entire united team has been sucked dry lol

He may also be trying a bit too hard to impress. He clearly wants to be playing and I think his decision making will improve as ge gains confidence and gets fitter. He would have gone down for that obvious penalty too whereas Jones stayed in his feet.

Ben Turner was a real stalwart tonight. He's far better than many make out

Agreed, hope he keeps it up.
He was brilliant first run of games.

Gitted not to be there last night, came down with some bug in the afternoon so ended up watching on the sofa under a duvet!
I thought Zaha looked good in the first half FWIW but he looked shattered early on in the second. He looks dangerous and was commiting 2 or 3 to him when he ran at them. With bellamy and mutch out we will need his attacking skill and pace! Turner was amazing and the best performance from him I have seen in a long time. Where has that been all season?!?
