Blessing in disguise imo. His temper was back at boiling point and he needs time out to calm down. He'd have only gone and got a red in an important game otherwise and we'd have been left with 10 men in that game.

and he had the nerve to have a go at the fans for what he considered to be bad behaviour? At least the fans will still be there for the next 3 matches, where will he be? Counting his cash i expect.....

Yep, whatever the rights and wrongs of booing Whitts, the game changed when he went off and we won. Bellamy has made himself unavailable for three very very important games. HE has affected our survival chances.

Best to take the ban now rather than appeal it. Doubt he would have played tonight and probably not sat either.

Can't we appeal and get him a longer ban?

Good timing TBH, given he was daft to do that on Saturday, Gav (although I still think the ref saw it  )

He wouldn't have played tonight, or in the FA Cup, and only misses Hull the week after, so not too bad really

Completely possible, fans are able to send complaints into the FA if they believe an injustice has occurred :ayatollah:

Cardiff City boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer believes that Craig Bellamy's reputation precedes him after the winger was handed a three-game ban.

The 34-year-old clashed with Swansea midfielder Jonathan De Guzman during the Bluebirds' 3-0 South Wales derby defeat, but no action was taken at the time by referee Andre Marriner or his officials.

However, the incident was retrospectively viewed by a panel of former elite referees who considered it to be violent conduct, despite Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure getting away with a similar clash with Norwich's Ricky van Wolfswinkel.

Bellamy missed the 0-0 draw with Aston Villa and he will also miss the FA Cup tie with Wigan and the crucial Premier League meeting with Hull City, much to the frustration of Solskjaer.

"Everyone can see there is a big difference in the decisions (on Bellamy and Toure) one has got three games and one has got away from it," said the Norwegian.

"I don't want to talk about it too much but I think Craig's reputation has gone before him.

"But when you see him in training, even in games he is such a top professional.

"It is a little collision, there is no violence in it, but we just have to accept it, we don't want it dragging on. Craig just wants to stay fit and be ready for the Spurs game.

"We did not feel it was the right decision, I'm sure the referee saw it.

"You look at what they did not give Toure and what they did with Craig and you are not happy with it, you are very disappointed and as I said I think his reputation has gone before him."
The first game of Bellamy's ban was Cardiff's goalless draw with Aston Villa, a result which Solskjaer opted to take the positives from after hitting the woodwork twice in the first half before goalkeeper David Marshall pulled off two stunning late saves.

"We were disappointed not to have the lead at half-time," he said. "David made two fantastic saves at the end to save us a point."

"The first half was what I looked for. We looked lively, created chances but just couldn't quite get that goal.

"Ben Turner and Steven Caulker were brilliant. They gave us a foundation to win games, we created enough to win the game."

In the case of this tw*t yes! Apart from anything else I'm still fuming at his disgusting behaviour towards his own fans a week ago! He should have been reprimanded by the club for that. It might have brought him down a peg or two!
