The exodus has already started

Tue Feb 11, 2014 4:21 pm

in the last few days there has been more and more tickets for sale on Facebook than any other time this season.

For god sake were in the Premier League, were playing Aston Villa at home, were playing one of the top ten Clubs in England, this game is much more important than Man United at home and these are not bad times, on the pitch these are the best times in the last 50 years of Cardiff City's history.

I dread to see how many desert if we go down and I thought we needed a bigger stadium, it looks like everything Ive ever believed about our fan base was wrong.

for no reason whatsoever your not coming then? call your self a fan?

I think that if we do go down we'll get lower crowds next season than we did last season in the Championship.

There will always be a hardcore of fans but far too many "daytrippers" at the ground nowadays who will simply disappear when we are not playing the "big" clubs anymore.

Oh well - real fans will still be there as always.

If we get relegated I cant wait to get a ST back amongst my true Cardiff City family - the real fans. The plastics will all sod off because they're essentially squatters who only come around during times of success. Why anyone would want to sit near them I never know.

'Please stop chanting - I'm trying to watch the game in peace'

'Please sit down etc'

'Dont do this - don't do that'

The stadium is full of pretentious idiots who would be better off at Wimbledon reading The Sunday Times clapping like seals.

'I must say darling that was a splendid goal'

This is why I question a stadium extension, people really believe we are a big club, we cant even fill the seats we have now.

Not all new fans will desert. i know fans who have been going for years and years who just pick and choose games..
Its always been the same one minute we are getting 5000 crowds then 16000 to 23000 for certain glamour games

Looks like the CUSTOMER has had enough mr tan, I dread to think what its going to be like if we go down. I'm not renewing like many others no matter what league we are in next season as I have hardly anything left to cling to or to give the club I once loved and knew, now I feel hardly anything for city in truth year after year. More to life than football for me these days, its not like years ago where u would go out ur way with money or travel all over. Modern football and its modern fans don't appeal to me anymore tbh.

So you don't go to games now do you fella?

Re: The exodus has already started

Tue Feb 11, 2014 4:50 pm

Lets be fair did anybody think it would be different ? after the sunderland game there have been increasingly more empty seats around me. However I do sort of enjoy the idea of once again actually having time to get a beer and have a chat with the fellas without it running into the second half !. The debate still rages regarding the 'plastics' all around but i was watching my lad and his mates during the Hammers game i could see they were being told 'sit down' 'dont swear' etc they just stood there and smirked back at all around finally getting a bit pissed off at having their 'joy killed. all i could hear was them screaming at all around 'f**k off we are always here' now the parent in me thought i should give em a bollocking so on and so forth, the other side of it was well they are true we stand there every week whatever the weather whatever form we are in....... so to echo my lads lot 'f**k off we are always here'

And tonight

cmon the city

We bought a load of foreigners.

All the players who got us promoted labelled 'shit' and 'deadwood'

The fact a large majority of our fanbase turned on a 20 year old Cornelius, Bellamy, Turner, Gunnarsson, Taylor and Whittingham (who ive been critical of, but not to their extent) etcccccccc.

The fans have turned me off more than anything.

I'll still go but it is nowhere near as good as under Mackay, even when we were losing.

Calm down Craig. There's no need to be so rude.

I am boycotting because of Scarfgate. What do you think will happen if we're relegated? You think Tan is going to stay around and wait another few years for us to bottle promotion then finally achieve it taking the total debts up to over £200m? Not a chance. He's gonna asset strip us and go and cut his losses. We'll be back in blue because the new owner, regardless of intentions, will want to win us over.

We'll be back in blue with a club financially struggling with less fans in attendance - basically back to square one - but there you go.

I honestly cant see Tan staying and once hes gone with his money the plastics will go too.

My last game was Scarfgate when everybody took the free red scarves and Tan clearly saw that as approval. A beautiful sea of red it was to him. I bet he went home and let himself go at the mere thought of it. Whether the scarves were free or not doesn't matter....if someones giving out free LSD outside the stadium some will take it, others won't because they have a different moral compass - people should have, based on their morals and principles turned the scarves down - instead they lapped them up and bought into Tan's vision.

Tan is here long term, the soonerr people realise that the sooner they can decide whether they continue going or not. You keep peddling this asset strip nonsense, we have no assets to strip!!!!!

as for being calm, im am :?

Tonight we will see who are Cardiff City through and through and not these plastic fans who turn up for the big one. We have 7 cup finals left this season. Just get behind the boys cause they certainly need pur support now more than ever
