A GRAND IDEA!

Mon Feb 10, 2014 3:26 pm

All people seem to do is moan on here about atmosphere etc.

I think the only way of rectifying this is instead of moaning and crying, how about growing a pair of balls and singing on your own!

So what if you look like the village idiot just keep singing. Sooner or later someone will join in with you.

Also, I stand in 104 of the canton and when some of the lads try to start a song, instead of joining in, those in 106 will start a different song to drown it out. What's all that about? We're not the away fans!

We were shit second half on Saturday and I offer no excuse but I am determined to just enjoy the football for the rest of season and if we go down, we go down. It's not the end of the world. It will mean cheaper away trips and I'll be able to go away with my mates, who at the moment can't get any tickets.

I'm as pissed off as anybody about Saturday but sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up and say they were better than us.

Must be in your own head,I stand in 106 and never once have I heard us trying to sing a different song to one that's been started

It does happen mate believe me. The only explanation is that those in 106 haven't heard and have started a new song unknowingly.

Anyway I'm not having a dig, i'm asking people on here that everyone does their own part tomorrow before coming on here and moaning about everything and everyone.

I couldn't agree more mate. I'm also in 104 and this seems to happen most games. Theres a group of lads at the back of 103/104 that do give it a good effort but there seems to be only a handful of people willing to join in.

Are the lads in 104 the ones that try and get this chant going (from the 4:00 onwards) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLDGCEEscVM if so I have heard it in 106 a few times and it sounds great but agreed no one joins in and it gets drowned out by a different chant.

yer it was the 104 lot that started that at the CCS and do sing it at a lot of home games.

This is true. I'm also in 104 and the lads at back always start songs that the other blocks just blank and start their own song.

Fair play to the boys at the back of 104 they always sing. They do that one song over and over but nobody seems to like it.

Yes that's right mate. If we are gonna raise the roof at the stadium we need to be one voice and give those with the balls to sing a bit of help.

Re: A GRAND IDEA!

noticed Saturday at the liberty, they have lots of chants with no words..or few words..
was effective to be fair.............
im not suggesting we copy them and sing rugby songs a nursery rhymes .
but the one gringo constantly sings could be awesome if it caught on............

on a different note...........us joining in hymns and arias..........18,000 of them singing one version...1700 of us singing another............it really did just contribute to what was their greatest ever atmosphere

Must be just start singing at the same time, also proves there are people in different sections willing to sing, just hope we all stick together and have a go tomorrow

I've got to be honest, as much as it hurts me to say it, that was one powerful atmosphere created by The Jacks Saturday. I suppose it helps that the majority of their 'lads' were congregated near to our left rather than spread out all over the place as we have at the CCS, but they made some serious noise which was deafening at times.

We need to create a similar feeling at our place because more often than not it's as flat as a pancake.

be honest......if OGS got sacked, and replaced by John Parkin as manager, we play Swansea home,we would galvanise, would be us against the world.......imagine then winning 3 nil.........this could bite them up the arse........they are now stuck with Monk, and he might be shite
