is whitts bottle merchant head hiding up his arse approach

Effecting the team?
Ofcourse you cant blame one player. But every huge game we have had and lost such as play offs and finals now this season. it seems whittingham just goes missing gets scared or has his head up his arse.

one of a few players we have that just dont have the confidence or flair ro drive forward this team.
I think we need more players who can impact a positive reaction I dont think I can remember cardiff having a ruthless streak for years.
we use to have great away form last couple seasons its been awful.

last season was the closest we had ever looked to having the killer instinct and that was mainly due to bellamy and then campbell coming in to help finish the job

How many points did we get in our last ten games last season "killer instinct"

Malky has gone. Cornelius has gone. Who are people going to blame now?. Because Whittingham can't be blamed can he?.

I don't know, pick names out of a hat?.

Bellamy with the killer instinct with all of 4 goals last season.

He was off with personal problems for months FFS.

We gained most of our points last season pre-Xmas, when Whitts was on song and pulling the strings. His hat trick against Wolves the stand out performance.

As for not doing it in the big games, what about his stunning free kick in the play off semi at Leicester, or the 2 goals he set up in the final v Blackpool and the defence let us down? His wonder goal v premier league Middlesborough in the Cup quarter final?
Not to mention he was one of the main reasons we got to play-offs in succesive years or got promoted last season?

No denying he his struggling at this level but when fans turn on a player who has made nearly 300 appearences, and nearly 60 odd goals, Cardiff City player of the year twice in last 4 years, PFA team of the year 3 of the last 4 years, its no wonder our fanbase is as toxic as it is.

Whitts is burnt out, no hiding from that. He's not shit, as some like to say, and I'm not even convinced he's struggling at this level, I just think he's burnt out and that his confidence was ruined by the last manager.

He hasn't been good enough with his set pieces in the second half of the season, but I think he knows that. Problem is, he's a confidence player, and when we spent 5 months relying on his set pieces to create a goal opportunity, we started sighing or moaning in the stands each time his delivery was off, and now he can't deliver a decent corner or free kick for shit. The guy has had the confidence knocked out of him, and at this point I have no idea how we can restore that beyond dropping him for a few weeks and hoping that fired him up like last season.

Why cant you blame one player?

You cant blame one player totally responsible because theirs are eleven on the pitch but with whitts no question he is not always
upto it and is ever present in the big famous cup final bottles.
And in a team that lack 'something'

When I look at us lately we just lack real distinction we dont pose enough threat away from home teams with bottle and belief go away and they stick goals on you and they will punish you.

even teams like fulham can punish utd away from home that's concerning

Whitts has gone from solid oak wood to drift wood and drift wood gets tossed out so time for him to move on soon i hope :ayatollah:
